TURBULENCE
So I end up doing more conversions than anything else in this hobby, and since the skitarii release I've been getting more creative with my little projects. So I've decided to start a log just on the mechanical monsters I throw together. Expect lots of walkers and plenty of weirdness. Currently on my table is a counts as blood slaughterer. Maybe. I'm not sure my creation has enough bulk. Basic rundown, I've fused a kastelan robot to a juggernaut for a fun centaurbot. still very much unfinished. I only have one terrible WIP photo, so I'll have to fix that when I can. But it's tacked on to this post for completeness. Hope you enjoy. Skrundle87
As a fellow Kitbasher I look forward to seeing what you can throw together. The centaur is a great concept that I would love to see more of. The picture is a bit hard to tell but it does look very promising. Keep it up Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325764-daemon-engine-workshop/#findComment-4499649 Share on other sites
TURBULENCE
Thank you, your work is pretty inspiring, I've gone through your thread a few times actually. I've been distracted so no updates to add really, but here are some better photos in the meantime. Also have to add a shout out to KrautScientist as the armour on my slaughterer's arms is directly pulled from his kastelan-based dread. Lower body Upper body, DCCW & Impaler cannon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325764-daemon-engine-workshop/#findComment-4502519 Share on other sites
Skrundle87
Cheers man I appreciate the shout out and kraut is definately an inspiration as well. The model is looking great so far. I've decided that one of my next projects (I have probably half a dozen in mind) will be a centaur using a daemon prince instead Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325764-daemon-engine-workshop/#findComment-4503087 Share on other sites
TURBULENCE
Do it up! Will you use a juggernaut lower body as I did, or aim for something more horselike? I'm excited to see where you take the concept. And now, minor progress update. Lower body is pretty much done besides some cleanup work. Basically I've added a long tail taken from a mauler, and added some wires and cables to hide some of the more awkward gaps towards the front of the lower body, and create a kind of haphazard, jury rigged feel. Because of the dynamic effect the new tail has created I've decided to name this creation the Shaggoth pattern Blood Slaughterer Also I have a brief preview of what I've been planning on for the base of this custom daemon engine. Ignore the WIP chaos lord in the back ;) Thanks for looking Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325764-daemon-engine-workshop/#findComment-4503783 Share on other sites
Skrundle87
It's looking good. Yeah I'll probably use the jugger legs I reckon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325764-daemon-engine-workshop/#findComment-4503985 Share on other sites
