The Idea is an early scouring era Crimson Fists force, 2nd Company. The list is fixed (and will be posted at some stage!) and represents the remnants of a Crimson Fists Boarding force. They will mainly be facing Brother Handro's Orks, or my harlequins (dirty dirty zenos...) in ZM missions. List is slightly cheesy as I've decided to make use of the Imperial Fists list for 30k and their awesome shield wall ROW and bonuses! This is explained thus: The 2nd Company, newly formed as the Crimson fists, consists of many new inductees, led by veterans of the Imperial Fists. They engage in a joint fleet bases boarding action with the Imperial Fists against a fleet of Orks advancing into Imperial space. Strict obedience to the new Codex Astartes is the mantra of the Crimson Fists, but this particular company fares poorly. Largely cut off and left as pure remnants of their previous force. The Company commander, a former Fist himself, forsakes the Codex and his veterans form the remnants into a small breacher based force resorting to his tried and tested Legion tactics. Equipment is salvaged and armour marks and parts chopped and changed over the hours and days, during which the force is slowly cut back and pushed into the depths of the ork cruiser. Crimson fists end up being mixed with Blue MKVI and Yellow MKIII to form a mis-matched livery. They know they are doomed, but they will fight to the bitter end for the honour of the Chapter and their Legion! Ahem, don't listen to him folks, his list is dirty filthy cheesy, and going up against an Ork force hamstrung by a lack of access to its best units, namely Heavy Support and Fast Attack/Transports thanks to the constraints of Zone Mortalis. (Have to get my excuses in early!) Clearly you won't be seeing much of my force on these boards, but rest assured I'll be giving you an unvarnished version of the Imperial Truth as the forces of the Crimson Fists clash against the Green Tide....well, Trickle, maybe. I anticipate a mighty clash between two iconic adversaries. I see you've made swift use of that power fist brother, looks great! Standard bearer looks solid but my favourite is the shoulder-charging/bracing guy, that's really done well. I will be throwing Orks at this (possibly literally) as my main priority between now and whenever another plastic HH box drops, so bring it on! (Or, you know, WAAAAAAGH! or whatever). Obviously it has to work with blue and red, but a lot of these guys are going to have yellow and black parts too, with salvaged armour and parts from fallen Imperial Fists brethren.
