Canadian_F_H
Anybody here ever used it on a mini? Because I just did... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325822-jb-weld/ Share on other sites
Ovidius Incertus
On big stuff like knights, yes. Especially if they're resin. Don't know if I'd bother mixing some up for an infantry sized model though. Obscura
On the larger resin miniatures, JB Weld is amazing. I have yet to use it on anything smaller than a Land Raider Achilles though. Your miniature should be fine. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325822-jb-weld/#findComment-4501311 Share on other sites
Semper Fortis
JB Weld is my go to 2-part epoxy. Never had any problems using it on miniatures. It works really well on metal minis. Good to go on plastic and resin. It's the only thing that i have found that will hold the original RT landspeeder together. The only down side is having to hold the parts in position while it cures. Once it cures you're not getting the pieces apart. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325822-jb-weld/#findComment-4502470 Share on other sites
Jacinda
I feel like a dummy. I should have thought of JB Weld when I put together 3 metal Penitent Engines. The next time I drop one I will know better. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325822-jb-weld/#findComment-4504609 Share on other sites
Canadian_F_H
I actually used it to fill the hole in the washers I used for the new base for my terminator librarian. I had trimmed the perimeter of his old 25mm slot base, and stuck the tab into the hole in the washers and the top of the old base sat nicely on the top lip of the hole... that was glued on with super glue. I then came back later and filled in the pocket with the JB weld. Bloody Legionnaire
Has anyone tried it on resin? I'm about to start building my Spartan and I'm feeling like I want something a little more heavy duty than superglue. Col.hertford
Yes, my reaver was built using it, and my warlord is underway too. Just don't use JB quick, it never seems to fully harden. Canadian_F_H
They make a fast curing JB weld. But I've never used it. It's apparently way faster tho, so you have to mix very small batches and work quickly. Brother Desultor
Has anyone tried it on resin? I'm about to start building my Spartan and I'm feeling like I want something a little more heavy duty than superglue. I've used it successfully on my Warlord titan. To be honest I'm not sure there's much else I'd trust on a large model Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325822-jb-weld/#findComment-4506562 Share on other sites
Canadian_F_H
It's Def trust worthy. It's used on industrial things you'd normally feel very uncomfortable glueing...
