Well the wife got me this today think she is getting fed up with the boxes at the back of the sofa it's not a bad little idea just let's it's self down a bit as you can't shut the lid with washers on the paint stand and there are no little compartments for spares bits http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss223/curly-09/black%20templars/20170206_153203_zps5fiy9xu6.jpg

Been playing around with my devastator squad and making my heavy weapons guys to fit in my crusade squad anyway i'v had a play with the Sargent i'v given him a combi grav and a lightning claw as I had onexpected in my bits box what do you think

Had to mess around with the lightning claw as it didn't look right so cut the top off one of my spare arms in my bits box shaved top of the claw arm on and stuck it on sits ok ish

Nice job on that TFC and gunner, that kit is a pain in the rear to build. If it's the resin version make sure to store it somewhere secure, I had the servo arms warp after sitting in my case for a while when I wasn't using him. It was a real pain to straighten out since it was already painted

From a purely gameplay point of view, a claw is better than a power sword. It is the same cost, S and AP as a power sword, but provides shred. And since the model's other weapon is a boltgun anyway, the fact that it is specialist weapon doesn't matter (no extra attack).

Of course, there's the question of whether a power sword would be relevant. It pretty much only is if facing marines, so I guess that question remains opened.

Lightning claw looks good on the sergeant. I don't know how effective it will be in game, but hey rule of cool.

Yes it was a complete pain in the assault

The shred rule was the reason I used it and as for relevance of it the old Sword Brethren one of them had double LC so I'm sticking to it hahahaha

You've got some very cool Black Templars here, only just finding this for the first time I find some of the conversions very inspiring, I might have to get myself an interrogator Chaplain to convert for my own Templars now.

Thank you i seem to post at times when the forum is quiet as for the interrogator I'm not too sure how he will get on in battle we will see
