Dagoth Ur
Very nice! Tags and the title imply Unification era, am I right? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325952-unification/#findComment-4505930 Share on other sites
gideon stargreave
yeah, It's all I had time to finish of my Thunder Warriors armies on parade entry before I emigrated. So no eagles (except on the terrain I used to take the pics), non standard weaponry and brutal brutal warriors Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325952-unification/#findComment-4505951 Share on other sites
Olis
I like them. There's a touch of Blanche about them. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325952-unification/#findComment-4505966 Share on other sites
Noctem Cultor
That's how I picture a rag tag group of Rogue Traders exploring the fringes of space. Great work they have a nice vibe to them. -Noctem Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325952-unification/#findComment-4506253 Share on other sites
Soldier of Dorn
Will we be seeing more of these? In any event, this is fantastic work, and I must agree with Olis, they have a very heavy feeling of Blanchian influence in them. gideon stargreave
Thanks Psycho! There are more built but they're I'm in another country for the near future. Do not worry though, they will be finished. Noctem, thanks! In fact, they're firmly on Terra. The two big guys are thunder warriors, as this is the beginning of my unification era force (based on mechanicum rules) With some luck, later in the year there'll be fifteen of so technobarbarians and thralls, a couple more thunder warriors and a vehicle which I'm particularly excited about. gideon stargreave
Thanks so much! I was pretty proud of that conversion I must say, I think my personal favourite though is either the swashbuckling type or the keeper of books based on my old librarian at school. She even gold rimmed round specs and a ponytail tight enough to turn her face into a skull! gideon stargreave
@lionofjudah, Yeah, I like that guy too, debating on whether or not to keep him as he is as a sort of genhanced warrior, or if I should give him a backpack to be a Thunder Warrior, the same with the fat flamethrower guy. What does everyone think? Any ideas for powerplants that aren't normal space marine ones? (A space marine one is fine if it's a bit more interesting) Here's a linkto the WIP for the next few characters. The technobarbarians are the thralls of the Thunder warriors. I sort of see them as Homeric heroes, if 40k is medieval and 30k is Roman. Each one is a semi autonomous ruler who bands together under the aegis of the Emperor. They carve out a fiefdom on his behalf. Each has retainers and bannermen and hunting dogs and so on http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326181-unification/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325952-unification/#findComment-4511973 Share on other sites
