My eyes keep moving to his face... and at least in that picture his teeth look really weird.... Glad to see he comes with a shield, I think. I could see maybe switching out that axe for a shield... or just give him an axe and shield... I could see it. I do like his face (and I just realized no primarchs have beards, hmmm...). The intricate nordic details sculpted unto the armour are a nice touch. He's not overly wolfyt, which I absolutely love. I hate how overly wolfy wolf the 40k Rout are and I like this simpler, more profesional looking wolves of 30k, the same goes for their armour upgrade. The base is good. I wish we could see more of that axe and the backpack. Dislikes: Mostly just the sword... I really don't like that sword. It's mostly because I hate over the top weapon designs, melee weapons need to be simple and elegant. But overall I really do like it. I also wonder how FW paints their space wolves. I actually believe that the issue with the face is this weird attempt at hyperrealistic skin painting that I've seen all over the modelling community, especially busts and 54mm stuff. Always ends up looking extremly soft, glossy and just plain out wrong. Remember, we've seen an unpainted version of the face in the past and from what I can remember, it actually looked quite good! Worst case, we'll have to switch in a helmet. DimDim Posted September 28, 2016 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Dont like the fantasy crossguard on the sword (im a bit of a historical snob when it comes to blades), and he needs a beard. Other than that I think Leman is the best looking primarch model released so far, with Rowboat probably coming in second. Probably. I think Leman will actually be my first primarch purchase, with a suitable addition of a manly beard of course. Now to continur the wait for Dorn...
