Also, when they come back, they regain 1D6 of lost models. This is why I can not urge you all enough, when you purge you must PURGE THE WHOLE BROOD. One model left? That's right, overkill the Holy Terra out of them.

Is that always or only from a certain formation?

Off of memory (looking through old threads now) it is for any unit that has Return from the Shadows special rule, so the majority. It represents not actual regeneration of any kind, but the Cult having that many hidden groups in hiding. Fluff wise, when a group comes back at a stronger strength it would actually be a different group.

Not "shiny pants" but more accurately:

The First Curse formation;

1 Patriarch, 1 Purestrain Genestealer unit,
you roll a D6 before the start of the game and add the result to the Purestrain Genestealers for the whole game;
1: they get assault grenades,
2: they get 4+ armor, (oops, not 3+)
3: they get Poisoned melee attacks,
4: they get Rage,
5: they get Preferred Enemy,
6: you pick which one you want.

Those are so neato options, I gotta say.

Requires a full squad of 20 stealers.

Will wipe out about half a Jacobus blob squad on the charge assuming the sisters reroll their saves. Plus extra wounds from any scything talons, bonuses from the mutation, and the patriarchs attacks.

Anything smaller they'll go through in one round which is probably preferable so that you get a chance to shoot at them.

[HERESY WARNING]

I know it wouldn't be fluffy, but I would love to see someone cult up a custom SM chapter with the heads/icons from the new kits.

Might be interesting, but unless the Mods decide to change their decision it wouldn't really be allowed on the B&C I don't think.

This is why we have to bubble wrap things. Have that 5 BBS squad in front of everything. They will die, then you move in to mop up flame up and purge.

Methinks a Repressor is very much needed for combating these renegades.

I filled a repressor with eight retributors complete with four heavy flamers. I ran it up to an ork trukk and melted every single person inside it and the one behind it in one go. The trukks were filled with a bunch of nobz and a decent squad of boyz. Good chunk of the other guy's points gone from a single unit. Yeah...that guy was unhappy. Even I had to admit that the combination was a bit strong.

I have since not taken a repressor to a friendly game lol
