ShinyRhino
Does anyone know if the guns from the Space Wolf Venerable Dread (namely the multimelta) will fit in the arms from the standard Venerable Dread? I somehow ended up with a spare shoulder section from the standard VenDread that you'd plug a gun into, and figured a multimelta would be nice to have. I'm hoping to avoid having to carve and file off the big wolf symbols from the SW shoulder section. Black Cohort
I am 90% sure that all plastic dreadnought arms made in the last few editions are interchangeable. Cloud Runner
The venerable dread arms have a s plug in system, so assuming that he SW dread is the same, it should fit. Looking at the picsc online, it would appear so - give it a test fit. Build the regular ven dread shulder and then try slotting the melta in and clip to teh body before gluing. I built the arms on a ven dread last night, and instead of the assault cannon (not in 30k ) I'm converting a Volkite for it. Might need a plasticard brace to cover the hole, but for the cross over from the SW you should be golden. Hope that helps :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326514-swapping-venerable-dread-guns/#findComment-4521217 Share on other sites
ShinyRhino
Thanks. I'll buy the multimelta bits and give it a go. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326514-swapping-venerable-dread-guns/#findComment-4521522 Share on other sites
Closet Skeleton
I can confirm that the Space Wolf multimelta arm fits and you can also put a space wolf multimelta into a regular venerable shoulder. But the Space Wolf right power fist arm doesn't fit without a tiny bit of modification. However the Space Wolf dread has the best legs among all the plastic dreadnoughts so I'd just buy a whole Space Wolf dread. There's enough spare bits in the regular Venerable dread kit to cover all the Space Wolf specific stuff apart from the power plant. A heads up here, the AOBR plastic dreadnought arm has different sized pegs, for whatever dumb reason.. So using its multimelta arm on a regular body requires greenstuffing.
