I had just interpreted that they were a DIY successor chapter called the Fallen Angels, rather than actual Fallen using a split Pre/Post Heresy scheme. Pure black is too boring to me, so I decided to make something more interesting 2. This guys decided to make DA a mischievous joke - so they look half pre and half postheresy.
