Flint13
Iron circle are quite defensive, I have heard. I think they have very low attack numbers? Vulkan is bossmode though, anything he touches dies. The base-template attack is fun to use against mobs and the lols of plasma immunity cannot be understated. This is true. I've only ever killed him once in a half dozen games and that was when he had the misfortune to get caught by a really long charge by a ton of rending, fearless cultists. Vulkan actually works really well out on his own. He's immune to every typical primarch-killing weapon except for lascannons and grav-imploders. Even then, lascannons are rarely numerous enough to force wounds through his 3++ and his re-rollable IWND tends to recoup a few. Hyaenidae
Perturabo and his Iron Circle (maxed out) would be my personal choice. A fortress, given movement and half-life, and enough firepower to gut the Phalanx from the inside out. (on a side note, who's looking forward to some boarding actions against the Phalanx during the Siege? :D ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/326578-best-primarch-to-run-a-deathstar/page/2/#findComment-4523982 Share on other sites
Terminus
A lot of ideas thrown around but only ones like Horus can really make it work due to not needing a big expensive transport which mitigates the cost factor. Being the top combatant Primarch leading a mob of the best mix of offensive and defensive terminators makes him top notch. Fulgrim deserves honorable mention for being cheap and being able to choose Master of Ambush. Slips
Doesnt have rules yet for 30k or 40k and I don't think his Daemon Form will be all that relevant to 30k yet. No doubt he'll be powerful but invis will probably just push that over the edge if he does have access. foamy248
I play Sallies, and IMO Vulkan + Firedrakes is pretty OP. To be honest though, all primarchs can be absolutely devastating, even the 'weaker' ones. It'll be interesting to see the next primarchs to come out. Leman Russ and the Lion will probably be good at melee. Sanguinius will be quite interesting as well, I think. I'm pretty sure one HH story said he could beat even Horus in a straight fight (when Horus wasn't buffed by the four chaos gods, at least ).
