Tdemayo touches on an key point - it is quite possible that during his ten thousand year incarceration on the Golden Throne the Emperor's views have changed.

 

He may have come to see himself as a god.

 

...and if GW do pull a full on Age of Sigmar reboot on the 40k universe, then it's quite possible that he *IS*.

 

A lot of you are going with the idea that really 8th edition is going to be pretty much business as usual.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if GW do blow it all up and star again.

 

If things didn't stay the same...I would rather the Emperor stays on the throne. His sacrifice and role in the Imperium is a big part of it.

 

Plus...eesh...the Primarachs? 40K loyalist Marine players are already whiny enough about their guys getting killed. They will be even worse if they have bloody Primaries back.
