WarhammerTV just made me shiver

For many years my Sisters army has slowly taken form. All the while, my friend and I would make jokes about the rate of progress with comments like "you know the day we finish this army is the day plastic sisters come out."

Here I stand with but a few models remaining. I feel as if this is my penance.

Penance? Sounds more like the Emperor rewarding dutiful service... you better finish those remaining few models sharpish msn-wink.gif

Imperator Vult!
Starting a new "Plastic Sisters Fund", gonna put a few bucks every paycheck as well as any found money and pocket change, into it, so when they come out I can afford them haha. (Last one may have turned into a Wii U and Marit Kart when that came out...)

Just opened three more Exorcists out of the mail from GW.

I think (might be wrong) that I may now finally have enough vehicles for all my Sisters to have Emperor approved rides.

I have over 8k painted, nearly 4k to go.

Unless something absolutely new, talking completely new unit I couldnt make out of existing metal models comes out, I am finished buying Sisters models.

One little bit less competition on those ebay sales folks. Happy hunting!

Come on tactical cards!

A friend told me about this video.  I watched it going thats nothing to do with Sisters of Battle, didnt catch it tell i rewatched with the volume turned up louder at the end.  Then I was well I'll only believe

this one when I see it in a white dwarf.

i know i say this a lot, but i could be holding the sprues in my hands and i'd still not believe it

if true, then my first 1000 points will be the "old guard" and everything else beyond will be of the "next generation". I will still play the metal gals, proudly, to show that i was a SoB player before it was cool.

Exactly!

As hipster as it sounds we were here earlier than a lot of people, we've known the pain of false rumours and no update for as long as we have had to wait. We proudly display our dedication and loyalty more than any other army ( except maybe squats ;-) )

My metal girls will stand longer than any plastics!

I plan on retiring the metal army. I will fix the the chips and battle damage from so many many games and set them on n their case for good My plastic army will not be OoOML either. I'm thinking Ebon Chalice it I want to see how they look painted before committing to an Order.

I can't afford to retire my metal ones, and I love the sculpts.

If plastics happen, I might decide that all the metal models are the Order of the Glorious Reprisal, and use the plastics as an excuse to write up that other DIY order I've had floating around in my head for a while.

And I will claim to have been a Sisters player "before it was cool" :P My lack of actual time as a Sisters player is, I think, made up for by how obsessed I am with them :D

I will keep my metals as well.  However, I plan on buying the new plastic units types first that didn't have a metal model such brand new unit types.   I will then slowly replace my metals with their plastic equivalents.  This allows me to concentrate on buying all the new stuff and still field a full army right away.

If the new plastics are like the scions there could be a huge special weapon shortage as well so extra metal special weapons on hand might be a good thing.

I am also thinking of replacing my gold scheme and using my Void Angel colour scheme that I came up with on here.  It's a good chance to start fresh.

I have butchered a good number of sisters models just to get their heads for swaps. IF there is an awesome headpiece bit that comes I might be up to adding some new ones. I have gotten really good at drilling out the head of a sisters model, removing the head from an existing sister doesnt go well for the girl, but oh well.

They are a penitent order after all.

So despite the strongest rumours of plastic Sisters of Battle to date, we're still beaten to the punch by plastic Sisters of Silence in the Prospero boxset lol

I like to think that the Sisters of Silence were/are the prototype. Sisters of Battle will be a more polished product laugh.png

That said, the Sisters of Silence look fantastic! wub.png

Maybe, just maybe, I will have my metal models painted before the plastic ones come out.

I don't have the money to drop on a whole new army in plastic, so even if I wanted to retire my metal models I couldn't. I know I will end up buying at least one of each of the new plastics. How could I help myself? Probably they will write a new codex with units that we can't make with the old metal models anyway, so we'll have to.

Plastic Penitent Engines, though. Think about that. Definitely putting off buying those things even longer just in case, because I don't need them for my usual lists anyway.
