I want new models that are the same as the current ones too

I agree 100%

What theoretical new kits/units would be cool to see in a Sisters reboot? IIRC in the Ultimate Apocalypse mod for Dawn of War, one of the units Sisters got was a Sentinel with an Immolator-style turret, which was pretty cool. Likewise, I'd like to see some kind of Land Raider style heavy tank available for the Sisters to use. Perhaps an open-topped heavy transport vehicle that works as a mobile firing platform for Retributors? A flier seems like an auto-include, and given the sad demise of the classic FW model a plastic Lightning Fighter would be awesome. More characters would be neat, though I'm not sure who exactly could be included without making some new characters (which wouldn't be a bad thing at all).

This is strictly wish listing for models, rules, and etc (so don't hit me with the blessed Salt Servant of Dante tongue.png )

1- Immolators with Fast (again) or torrent preferably torrent

2- A Tank- Baal with options for a Flamer/ Melta/ Bolter class weapon for Turret and Sponsons

3- Pintle mount flamer/ bolter/ melta options

4- Assault transport

5- Frateris milita/ Redemptionst

6- Drop the stupid 3 Priests rule

7- Bring back Confessors/ Missionaries/ Preachers as different options not just "Priests"

8- Palatine

9- Give my Canoness back her Jump pack

10- Flyer in plastic (preferably the Avenger it will sell GW...AdMEch, Astra Militarium , and all the HH players can use it to)

11- PLASTIC Pertinent Engines

12- PLASTIC Exorcist that is not the pipe organ.....not a fan sorry

13- Immolators would be nice to buy again....Still prefer the MKII over the MKIII but a MKI would be nice msn-wink.gif

14- Land Raider Class transport would be nice (Flame weapon Sponsons, turret heavy bolter, pintle mounted Multi Melta)

15- More Relics and drop the book as a relic and put back into wargear.

16- Did you actually read all these?

17- Formations...duh

18- Special rounds for Celestians

19- Fix the Acts of Faith so they are not one use

20- GRAV CANNONS....Just jokinglaugh.png

Oh and I've started working on my Sisters codex rewrite again. I will consider implementing some of these (I see no reason why the Canoness shouldn't get a Jump Pack option)

Edit: Though I'm trying to keep the changes I make a little more low-key than many of your suggestions.

Really they could do the entire existing Sister's army with oh... 3 box sets and a clam shell.  One box of 5 Sisters with options for heavy weapons and Seraphim packs, one multi-transport kit that could do Rhino/Immolator/Exorcist, one "command" squad set (although you could probably get that into the basic Sister's box) and a Canoness set.  The Celestine model already exists.

Now revamping things like Arco-flagellants, Crusaders, Penitent Engines, and a Priest box would be a bonus.

I'd really like an option for a plastic Repressor, and above all... if I had one dream unit...

Sisters on bikes with flamers/heavy flamers.  And an attack bike.  Maybe shotguns (s4 version).  That is all.

Understandable, if i was to low key it here the ones i would go with:

1- Your choice (torrent or fast)

5- much need 2 troop option (use the cultist rules, i miss the old Codex approved version sad.png )

6- Yes

7- Confessors are 3 wd, Missionary 2 wds (plasma rifle option), preachers 1 wd

8- 2 wd lower stated cannones (Captain to chapter master)

9- Jump packs for Adepta Sororitas Hq only

15- your choice but the book of St Lucius should be wargear

17- formations

18- ignore cover rounds nothing else

*18 depends on their Act of Faith (melee AoF melee weapon options, shooting special round)

1- I want torrent on the Immo and Repressor. Though getting it on all SoB Heavy Flamers would actually bring it back into usage on the scale that SoB used to field it. At one time it was the Sisters signature weapon. Make it unique for them again.

2- A tank, yes but nothing on a rhino, leman, chimera, or land raider chassis. Baneblade based cathedral tank only please.

4- Repentia charging out of the cathedral tank would be fine, otherwise no thanks.

5- Redemptionists would be fine, throw in a crazy flaming head confessor as well.

6- three priests rule?

8- Palatine would be nice, cheap formation HQ. Or make Celestians a unit of IC's that can be dispersed like sang priests from the Elite section

9- for all HQ sororitas

18- just fix Celestians, somehow.

I think they're referring to the limit on priests in an army, but I think the limit is 5, not 3 . . . (yep, I checked to be sure and it is 5).

and I did try my hand at making Celestins playable without changing their battlefield roll too much (so I made them "super-generalists"

(Here is what I came up with. It's pretty off topic, so I'm putting it under a Hidden tag)

Hidden Content

Unit Composition: 4 Celestians and 1 Celestian Superion

  • Up to three other Celestians may take one item from the Special Weapons or Heavy Weapons list.
  • Any model may replace their Boltgun with a Storm Shield 5 pts/model
  • The Celestian Superior may take melta bombs 5 pts
  • The Celestian Superior may take items from the Melee Weapons and/or Ranged Weapons lists.
  • The unit may select a Rhino or Immolator as a Dedicated Transport.

Boundless Devotion: Any model with this special rule and the Shield of Faith special rule has a 5+ invulnerable save.

Glorious Harmonies: A unit that contains at least one model with this special rule can take a Leadership test at the beginning of each Fight sub-phase in which he is locked in combat. If the test is successful, choose one of the following war hymns to immediately take effect.

The Emperor Protects: The unit re-rolls all failed armour and invulnerable saves until the end of the phase.

The Righteousness of the Emperor: The unit re-rolls all failed rolls To Wound until the end of the phase.

Acts of Faith: The Celestian Squad has two Acts of Faith, each of which may be used once each battle. A Simulacrum Imperialis allows a single Act of Faith of your choice to be used a second time. They are still subject to the limit of using one Act of Faith each phase.

Emperor’s Fist: One use only. This Act of Faith can be used in your Shooting phase. If successful, all models in the Celestians’ unit gain the Fleet and Relentless special rules until the end of the current phase.

Righteous Wrath: One use only. This Act of Faith can be used in your Shooting phase. If successful, the Celestians’ unit may fire twice in this Shooting phase, and may select a different target each time.

To go back to the issue of models: I do wonder if that has been part of the issue for GW. SoB players are somewhat...passionate...about the army, background and figures.  Which does cause some issues as we don't all agree on those very things.

I get the desire to keep with what we have but a lot of water has gone under the bridge since those first models came out - in fact, next year is the twentieth anniversary of our first Codex.  It is quite possible - almost certain I would say - that we will see some changes in the way the models look.  For the parts few years, the art has had a pretty consistent look.  But sculpting, posing, etc might very well be different.

That might put some people off even as it draws others in.  I used to play GSC back in the day.  I really looked forward to the new models.  I loved what they had done for Deathwatch: Overkill but seeing the army as a whole...eh...something just didn't work for me.

Hopefully we are looking at a situation akin to the re-launch of Dark Eldar. GW updated their looks very well, kept a lot of design cues but improved and modernized what the True Kin had.

I myself and somewhat nervous about the idea of new sisters.  I will be very happy to see them get a Codex along with a full release of new, plastic models because it means that GW cares about them as an army...or at least is sensible enough to realize that they will sell like hot cakes to Loyalist and Traitor players alike*  But what if I don't like the sculpting, the poses...I think I understand where folks are coming from.

*Yes, the downside to plastic sisters is going to be seeing lots of Traitor Adepta across the table from you.  Cleanse! Burn! PURIFY!

I wouldn't worry about that in particular, GW must surely know that you can't please everyone all the time. Or on the Internet some of the people at any time tongue.png GW does their own thing with their own stuff, always has and always will. That they are listening to wants now is good (just look at all the recent awesome!) but that doesn't mean that they have to heed (or care) what is said msn-wink.gif

The Sisters have a clear aesthetic so I wouldn't expect something too divergent, I like the current appearance - probably the most 40k army range there is! I think the key difference between "old" SoB and DE models is that the DE ones looked like arse unlike the SoB laugh.png

I just threw up in my mouth a little

It has been pointed out to me that, when done as single exceptions with interesting background, a Sister fallen to the Chaos Gods isn't necessarily something you should get mad at a person for doing.

I don't want to see them in books, because I just don't want to because I am Stubborn Ignore Leadership modifiers, but I don't think I would nessessarily bash a Chaos player for having a singe corrupted Sister as, say, a Chosen or a Chaos Lord, if they had taken the time to fully convert the model. I might insist we play Purge the Arch-Heretic every time they field the model, but I think I could deal with that.

Whole orders though? No.

Before returning to the topic at hand, there is a way of using Sisters models for a Chaos army, without one single traitor Sister in it.

A unit of specialist female Imperial Guard somehow get their hands on Sororitas armour (either raiding a Sisters homeworld whilst they were else where, or taking them from dead Sisters), take it for their own, and begin a furious slaughter of everyone whom gets in their way.

Of course, when the Sisters find out...

Man, I've been on the stupid parts of the Internet too much lately because I just caught myself wondering if there's a remix of the word "HERESY!"

Anyway, yeah, that might be fun. I'm still going to insist we play Purge the Arch Heretic :P

That would pretty much be my justification for using Sisters wargear in my force- minions of the Chaos force proper had pillaged a vanquished Order's armouries/stripped the suits from the corpses of slain Sisters, and used it for their own nefarious purposes. To paraphrase Retribution, the Emperor's holy armour isn't too particular of those that wear it.

As for actual traitor Sisters, maybe one as a character model. I could theoretically see an entire (small) Order becoming Excommunicated and deemed "traitors" by the Ecclesiarchy/Inquisition, when in fact they're nothing of the sort, ala the Soul Drinkers. But that isn't Chaos Sisters.

Anyway, topic.

One thing I'm wondering how they're going to do is those flowing sleeves. They wouldn't be hugely conducive to the style of multipose kits GW tends to make these days. Will they reduce the posing potential, or will they axe the sleeves I wonder?

I hope it stays similar. If it doesn't, well, I still have my old metal models, and I can always keep EBaying them.

I'm out of likes already . . . again.

There were a number of Chaps Sisters (Cleanse! Burn! PURIFY!) in the Daemonifuge graphic novel, so it isn't without precedent.

*passes Leadership test* That doesn't mean I have to like it! tongue.png

True but that fluff is so old and outdated I'd question it's legitimacy these days. I mean there was also an Inquisitor masquerading as a Black Templar which would be very difficult to believe now!

Once again it's their fluff. I can honestly see them making reference to "some amount" of Sisters who have been corrupted just to give the idea for great conversions once we get plastics.
I don't think it's anything to get too up in arms about.

Overall every faction should have some people fall to Chaos at some point in my opinion, but fluff is different for everyone and i'm cool with people doing what they want frankly, especially for great modelling and great home brew backstory

As much as we all love to bash Mr. Supreme Grand Master Kaldor Drago, I do think it's important that no Grey Knights have been corrupted.

. . . I'm incredibly biased, but I like that corrupted Space marines are so much more common than corrupted Sisters (even by percentage of the total population of Sisters/Space Marines)

A local player got hold of someones old Sisters. He airbrushed them red, calls them his Khorne Wh0res. A very large part of me wants Sisters to stay in metal without an update so we dont have to endure a fresh influx of heresy.

For my part I did offer to buy his army just so I could drop the models in some IPA and commence their purification. So far he hasn't taken me up on my several increasingly generous offers.

Another reason that it's (kind-of) nice to have the All-Female army be less available. Less people being weird about it.

I had the misfortune to play someone (twice) who told me exactly what their dark eldar army was going to do with my miniatures once I lost. Decided that I'd never play a tournament in that store again.
