Coosing a Color Scheme: Jägerines or Bacardines?

The Exorcists have a Daemon's skull as their Chapter symbol. If they can use the severed head of a "twisted creature of Chaos" as their Chapter symbol, then so can the Imperial Jaegers.

Just make sure the proper DISRESPECT is shown to enemies of the Emperor and His champions.

Inded, yet my chapter badge shows not only the Stag's head, but also the imperial eagle above it.

I don't think the Inquisition would appreciate that combination of symbols.

I think the Peryton or Preyton can be the symbol of the Imperial Jaegers' nemesis, should you choose to create a Chaos Space Marine army.

Suppose a "Lord Preyton" led an Alpha Legion warband whose members disguised themselves as Imperial Jaegers, and attacked a shrine to the Emperor in order to seize an archeotech device hidden beneath it. The Inquisition cleared the Imperial Jaegers of wrongdoing; nonetheless, the Jaegers were understandably PISSED some traitors would dare besmirch their honor. Chaplain [insert name of your choice] begs the Imperial Jaegers Chapter Master for permission to lead a "Wild Hunt" against "Lord Preyton" and the Alpha Legion warband, and has personally sworn he will brand the Aquila upon the traitors' foreheads.

I take inspiration for the "Wild Hunt" from the White Scars' Master of the Hunt; their goals are to hunt down and destroy a specific enemy of the Chapter. When writing rules for this formation, remember to give the "Preferred Enemy" special rule to Wild Hunt participants.

I must say, I'm really loving this thread and it's unique concept and creativity, it really exemplifies that inspiration can come from anywhere.

Curiously, I'm getting a lot of Witcher vibes from the Imperial Jaëgers, the hunter theming, this "Wild Hunt" idea, the Stag symbol and Preyton nemesis being reminiscent of the Fiends (http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Fiend) from the Witcher games, perhaps this could provide another source of inspiration for the project?

Hey bro, after seeing your colour scheme I recon the Tamiya Metallic Green would be a pretty close match thumbsup.gif

Hey Buddy,

yeah it would.. Unfortunately laugh.png ... since I already friggin imported Tamiya clear blue and green for a metric sh*tton of money. Apparently you can only get the clear RED over here (which I had)...

Can't import another can of metallics for rediculous shipping. However, since the color match was really amazingly close, I will keep my eyes opend. Thanks for the hint :-)

Aye. The plan is to give it a really deep, dark green.

Like the Salamanders'.

My plan is to paint the whole mini silver and than cover it with tamyja Clear Green, just like the Brass Scorpion in the Forgeworld book. However, it appears that I need to figure out a way how to darken the Tamyja paint without messing with the transparency. There is no such think as Tamia Clear Black or Dark Grey after all. Other Colors would alter the saturation... Oh well... rolleyes.gif

It wll definitively be an interesting projekt.

Another option you might try, is using (probably multiple applications of) a green wash over the Tamiya Clear Green. This should help to deepen the color, without noticeably affecting the transparency. Or you could try that new green technical paint from Citadel, "Warpstone Green" or something to that effect. It has a slight transparency, and when painted over metallic base coats, they provide a nice metallic paint effect. YMMV of course, and I have no first-hand experience with them yet, but I do intend on using the red one for the red parts of my own chapter's armor.

Edit: The green color is called "Waystone Green," and here's a link to it on GW's site.
