And with any luck FW'll release him in resin further down the line, maybe in the Scouring. Basically they picked a head from the SW sprue with the most ludicrous hair and tacked a few braids & a beard on. His armour is lovely though. Trying to work out how convertable to a Rune Priest Ahriman might be. That artwork of Ahriman in your picture is him long after the burning of Prospero and he wears the armour and helmet of Amon. He got Amon's armour sometime after the Rubric of Ahriman was casted. Sandlemad Posted October 14, 2016 Share Posted October 14, 2016 To be honest though, Amon's helmet and armour (the same armour Ahriman's wearing in 40k) doesn't really look like that. Different number and size of horns, different faceplate, and I think Amon's armour was blue (or possibly changed to blue as soon as Ahriman seized it). I think it's best to chalk it up to art inconsistency. I'm really coming around to the tartaros armour, having been fairly unimpressed with it since FW released it. Not sure why this should do it but beginning to think they would look great in fenrisian colours... Don't care for the wolf, but I can probably cut him up and do something. Ahriman is ok, can be converted to a DA Librarian who spent time with the TSons before Prospero. All in all, good box. Aside from the characters, the models look incredible. Absolutely down for plastic volkite! And FW would be extra silly if they don't release a "Breacher upgrade" set for those plastic MkIII vets. Just need resin shields and heads, and they're already basically doing that with that Ultramarines power sword/breacher shield set that's coming out soon! Ahriman only gets Amon's armour after the Heresy and probably even well after the Scouring, after he's fled to the Eye, cast the Rubric, and hid there for a few hundred years. He turns blue the instant he gets Amon's armour. And that pic is Neil Roberts's interpretation of a bunch of main characters during the Heresy, so there's a chance. We don't know if he wears the same armour through the Heresy as he does on Prospero, yet. Also, to be extra clear, the timing on the Rubric seems to be post-Siege of Terra according to current fluff. Iskandar Khayon is at the Siege of Terra with his pre-Rubric bros Mekhari and Djedhor while they're still alive, carrying his company banners and such.
