Wasn't originally going to pick up Primogenitor, but the Limited Edition is quite beautiful in its own way...

Master of Mankind is just over 400 pages for those asking.

The Thirteenth Wolf was ok, it's just that audio dramas don't do it for me personally. I still maintain that it sounds better in my head. It's about the master of the 13th Great Company and his pursuit of the Thousand Sons through a series of mystical transporter portals. Think of Stargate and you won't go too far wrong.

50-60 seems pretty realistic right now. There's still room for Death Guard, for example, and the Siege will take some time to deal with too.

We're close though. The Path of Heaven, Corax and co have all been putting the lid on plotlines, and Old Earth and MoM seem to follow that trend.

Is there any indication the HH series will end with 50? Both Ruinstorm and Old Earth have an ending type feel to them (assuming Ruinstorm is the legions from IS leaving for Terra and getting held up until the final siege). Kyme says that Old Earth is Vulkan fulfilling his destiny.

Personally, I severely doubt it, just because of how many anthologies there are still to do, even aside from any more full novels. There really needs to be a DG novel, plus at least two more anthologies, which would leave no room for anything else, even if you don't count the Siege itself.

To be honest, after A-D-B's Q&A session I headed out the door and skipped the 'Closing Ceremony, - I have a long drive ahead of me (which I'm only half way through, don't worry I'm at a services :) ). I did spy a banner by the main entrance about the return of the BL Weekender next November.

I will write more when I get home.

I personally would have been sitting through all panels and probably skipped all signings unless they didn't overlap with anything else. Getting signatures is great, but getting the info and creative notes from the authors seems far more interesting than standing in line for a handshake and some scribbles. That queue for AD-B looked nuts on Twitter!

Battle Bunnies have a pretty good sum up of the Heresy stuff - http://battlebunnies.blogspot.com.au/2016/11/black-library-live-horus-heresy-news.html

I think it's a little strange that we're getting origin stories when we're nearly at the end. Seems like something that could be filled in later, after Terra is done.

I'm curious about the "and there are only 3 more that need to be done before we reach Terra" bit. I would assume that means 3 more novels to be written, rather than released, since we already know about several.

Main one I'd want is Death Guard novel (indeed, it'd be a crime if that -didn't- happen), Space Wolves on the hunt for Horus would also be nice.

Based on the summary on Battle Bunnies, it looks to me like we likely won't get to 60 books. Only 3 more stories until Terra....I would guess there aren't more than three on the Siege itself. I am ok with all of that. Its been a great series, but it is time for an ending.

Hopefully we'll be able to get some more detailed reports from what was said at the event.

Several very good panels will surely have provided more good info than the snippets we have so far obtained.

I agree it's a bit disappointing that Crimson King is only no. 44, but I suppose it could still mean it comes out in April.

Ruinstorm sounds very good to me and Old Earth as no. 47 with Vulkan on Terra, also very nice.

With Abnett no longer writing and McNeill having taken several years to write CK and possible not a new book scheduled now, it also seems ADB and Chris Wraight have moved away from the Heresy for now. Undoubtedly to return later, but still, it means neither seems likely to publish a HH Novel in 2017. Wraight has Vaults of Terra out in May and we recently saw the cover for a 40k Custodes book from him.
