For the prequel, read this post on my blog: http://teun135miniaturewargaming.blogspot.com/2016/10/paint-it-black-my-watch-begins_10.html

Now, in the last few weeks, I bought a lot of Deathwatch (Death Masque, 3 Razorbacks, 1 Kill Team, 1 Vanguard Squad, 1 Tactical Squad) and have been putting them all together. Now that they are all put together, I have started painting them. Here is what I have so far:

Thank you for the compliments! The white scars shoulder pad wasn't primed white, I just used about 4-5 very thin layers! I started with ulthan grey and built up to white scar white over multiple coats. I couldn't even tell you how many I did, to be honest. They were all very thin... the consistency of milk pretty much.

Love the heat effect. But should it not also be on the bottom barrel that the bullets come out of?

On a minigun, the barrels rotate to dissipate heat and spread it among several barrels instead of just one. Typically this effect is closer to the chamber than the muzzle, so if anything that is where I screwed up.

i guess there are 2 camps of painting barrel heat,as we can see yours above (well done by the way thumbsup.gif ) which is just fired or firing a continuous 3000 round burst eek.gif or the other which is semi cooled and showing heat discolouration only towards the tips of the barrel.

great work FP135

cheers mithril
