Leman Russ, The Great Wolf by Chris Wraight (LE)

The genres seem to be working based on people adding them to said shelves, and if enough people do, it places them in those categories. Pretty weird though, I'll check if there's anything to be done to get it out of there.

Why bother? It's evidently a joke. Not every joke in the world needs to be stamped out just because it isn't a true reflection of reality.

To those who have read this. How would rate the Primarch series as a whole so far. Considering how popular I was expecting these books to be l, there's seems to be very little in the way of chatter regarding their content.

Well, we've only had two so far. Personally, I've liked both, Leman Russ more so. Guilliman was okay, but nothing to write home about, Russ was good and especially so at the end. A 7 and 8 from me, respectively. I like the whole concept because I feel the series as a whole can benefit from more fleshing-out of the Great Crusade.

I'd say they're certainly worth reading for HH fans, or fans of those legions/primarchs, but not something I'd pay the LE prices for.

I'm really looking forward to the Perturabo one, since Mr. Haley has shown he can turn his hand to a range of legions and do them justice, and Olympia is an event that really needs to be covered properly (and should have been before now, to be honest).

I'd give it a solid 8.5...Wraight's prose and characterisation are both on point

Totally agree - 8,5-9 stars from me for sure. For the Russ dream, amazing Lion/Russ duel, great Dulan and awesomly shown Lion in a long while, since 'Savage Weapons'.

Just finished this and thought it was great, it's portrayal of Russ in my mind is spot on. Pacing and characterisation is also spot on and the length of the story is just right!

Well done Chris Wraight once again. msn-wink.gif

Seriously this guy is becoming the best BL author out there I always look forward to more Chris Wraight releases cool.png
