DominikB
So Yarrick has the senior officer special rule, as well as the chain of command(CoC) special rule which states that if there is A model with the senior officer special rule the model with the CoC rule cannot be your warlord. This means he can never be a warlord RAW..? Many thanks for any help, I even checked the FAQ for this Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327135-yarrick-warlord-question/ Share on other sites
zero88
I believe the new Guard FAQ clarified this by ruling that if you have a standard Senior Officer (CCS, Creed, Strain) then Yarrick can NOT be your warlord. He's still a Commissar when it's all said and done. Ulrik_Ironfist
As has been cleared up, he can't be the warlord if any other senior officer is present. This does however mean, that you can take a cheap CCS with a MoO, and make the CC your warlord. That squad will sit in the back anyway, nice and safe, while yarrick is out front issuing orders and getting into combat, since he's the guard's beatstick. Though it should be noted that even if there are no other senior officers in your list, that Yarrick has to be the warlord. Take Pask as your warlord, and use Yarrick as a distraction.
