Kros Morotho
...is it worth it, or am i better to take the regular standard and use the extra points to give the Canoness a mantle? CaptainHelion
"Worth it" is kind of a hard thing to say. The Sacred Standard of the Order is a nice upgrade for what it gives, but what it gives isn't entirely excellent for Adepta Sororitas, over the regular Blessed Banner. Rerolling Fear, Morale and Pinning is great, but +1 attack doesn't really mesh with anything in our codex, except the Battle Conclave. There are builds that can make the most of the +1, but in general, probably not. I'd definitely take the Mantle of Ophelia on your Canoness, because Eternal Warrior is fantastic on a T3 Warlord. Suddenly you can actually survive a sizable portion of the fire coming your way. WarriorFish
Standards are sadly a bit odd in most cases as the +1A isn't all that useful as Helion says. They look cool though so I usually replace a standard soldier with them in a CS for looks :P The Mantle is good but again as Helion says good is relative to what you want and can spend ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327173-sacred-standard-of-the-order/#findComment-4542419 Share on other sites
Servant of Dante
40 points is more than I'm willing to pay for what the sacred standard gives. You can make it work, but the issue I had was getting the command squad into close combat alive. In any case, I never run a Canoness without a Rosarius and the Mantle of Ophelia, but I like to also give her an Evicerator and drive her up the field :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327173-sacred-standard-of-the-order/#findComment-4543190 Share on other sites
