Chapter of the Broken Diadem- DA's Word Bearers

Hello fellow marines,

after being a long-time lurker, I have finally plucked up enough courage (along with marginally better painting skills and alot more money spent) to start this WIP on my own capter of word bearers.

 

I have no idea when I'll be able to post updates as my enthusiasm for painting is sporadic but that said ill try my best

 

 

++Chapter of the Broken Diadem++

 

Assault Chapter Master Daroqus leads this chapter of word bearers, specialising in seiges and assaults on enemy strongholds. A rather pragmatic commander compared to other more zealot CMs and captians, Daroqus along with his chapter was spared from taking part in the Calth atrocity and joined Lorgar in the siege of Armatura at the start of he Shado Crusade, where his siege Battalion lead by Captain Alak-Hul proved invaluable for the breaking of ultramarine lines.

Once the massacre of Armatura was concluded, like other Chapters, Daroqus lead his fleet upon his command ship Sacrosanct to pillage world after world in the name of the ruinous powers.

 

This chapter is broken down into three sections (there is no way in hell I'll be able to complete the whole chapter )

 

Section 1: Battalion 1- 'normal' space marine battalion lead by 1st Captain Sor-Talak

Broken down into 4 companies, each company lead by a Captain and a Chaplain, comprised of 2 Tac squads along with another specialist squad

 

Section 2: Consuls+important persons

This section comprisesof all the leaders of the chapter, Primus medicae, Mortriat, Diabolist, Gal-Vorbak and ashen cricle leaders, along-side chapter command squads, vexillarius+bodyguard retuine

 

Section 3: Battalion 2- Siege Battalion lead by Siege Captain Alak-Hul

Like battalion 1, this is broken down into 4 companies each lead by a Lieutenant. Each company is comprised of a Tac squad, a Termie squad and a specialist squad

 

As you can see, this chapter has been brewing in my mind for a long time so i hope you like it

Thanks Andvarr, next on the painting table is a mechanium priest, followed by Gal Vorbak with baby Argel Tal, a contemptor and then a deamonic knight

Just to say im not dead, I went and bought a starter set of mechanicum skitarii because the models are cool as hell plus chaos needs some firepower.

 tomorrow if i have time ill probably put up some pics of my daemon knight

Turns out the lighting in my house is terrible at the moment with it being so cloudy, so taking decent pics of models with a black undercoat is almost impossibe.

Summer seems to have brought me out of hibernation , I promise I haven't been idle and there's a few heretical and some quite golden additions to my army;

 

 

Another Praetor comes zooming on his jetbike, Sor-Talak is second only to the Chapter Master himself to many of the chapter

 

One of the most senior librarians of the Chapter, Riftok is armed with his golden axe a link to his brighter past

 

Accompanying Librarian Riftok is an Acolyte

 

Opposing the Librarian's flashy styles is the Shadowy First Vigilator Aster, I'm going to attempt to use PVA glue to make a clock out of the tissue paper but until then he remains unfinished like most of my army

Characters aren't the only things I've built though, here's a sneak peak at the Veteran Sergeant from 1st Battalion 1st company Veteran Squad

 

 

 

Also after a long inner debate I've formed a new color-scheme for the chapter with Captain Serak

Now I just need to decide what to do with the already painted mini's

 

 

The final Heretical pic of the day is something as a Chaos fan I couldn't refuse, good old papa Magy, with his abs giving envy to all male models out there

 

 

 

With so much glorious heresy surrounding my house there must be someone to bring light to the darkness, who else but a Custodian Captain

 

 

Finally the end of the update, apologies for the huge pic dump, I appreciate all the comments, they mean alot to cease my procrastination. Next time theres going to be something Tzeenchy, Khorney and a liddle bit of undivided Daemon goodness
