Guiltysparc
Quick question, i have a bottle of vallejo glaze medium. I have been using it to thin down washes and such with pretty good results. I have also used it to make up batches of thinned washes and find that I need to shake it up a bit because there are milky particulates that fall out of solution over time. This isn't a big deal and i figure its normal. I noticed on various painting videos that Lahmian medium looks totally clear, so i'm wondering if thats true or just the way it looks in the video and if it is true, whats the milky color on my glaze medium? Is Lahmian easier to use because it doesnt have it? etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327257-lahmian-medium-vs-other-glaze-medium/ Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
Lahmian medium = Matte medium Glaze medium is really more like a flow-aid additive. I have used several different matte mediums, and whilst they differ in consistency and opacity when wet, they all dry clear and matte when dry if applied thinly and carefully. They all worked just as well as extenders and matting agents when added to paint as well.
