Captain General
I just picked up a second-hand unit. The tank/pump has a pressure gauge on it, but no instructions, so, how much pressure do I use for the brush? Thanks. Kilofix
It depends on size of nozzle, thickness of paint. Generally at 0.2mm - 0.3mm and milk like thickness : about 30 psi is a good start. Then go up if it spackles and down if it spiderwebs. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327540-air-brush-pressure/#findComment-4553082 Share on other sites
Bartali
Generally the thicker the paint, the higher the pressure and the further you have to be away from the mini eg for Priming and base coating. Thinner paint can be run at lower pressures and sprayed closer to the mini. eg for detailing/shading. I tend to do it based on how the paint is spraying following a test spray and what I'm trying to with it. Anything from 15-30psi Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327540-air-brush-pressure/#findComment-4553093 Share on other sites
