TURBULENCE
So I've tried to do some digging, but so far I've been unable to find any sort of reference for this. Would anyone know the colors of the thousand sons attached automata/golems? Next payday will be the start of my praevian's charges, so that will be my first painted unit. As that will likely be done before inferno is out I could use a little guidance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327715-xv-legion-automata-colours/ Share on other sites
Marshal Loss
They're called the Arkhadine Mechanicum, an allied Forge World in the Prospero system that uses psychic power to help run their robots. Also - this is the paint scheme for the psychic automata. The normal taghmata will have a different one :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327715-xv-legion-automata-colours/#findComment-4558759 Share on other sites
Sandlemad
As well as allied cybernetica forces from Zhao-Arkadd, there were the legion-inducted robots; thinking here of Khalophis and his bonded castellans or that one Word Bearers robot in The First Heretic. They could be done in simple XV legion colours, same as any tank or legionary, or just with elements of Tizcan red on certain panels. There was a discussion of some of the different ways to do up automata in legion forces here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324484-praevian-and-attached-castellax-battle-automata/. TURBULENCE
With all your help I've decided on a mixed scheme. Blending the psychic automata with thousand sons red and iconography Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327715-xv-legion-automata-colours/#findComment-4559247 Share on other sites
Mango Polo
Also - this is the paint scheme for the psychic automata. The normal taghmata will have a different one Ah, that's definitely something new. Where did it come from, if you don't mind me asking? I have dunked various robots into simple green to prepare a full Zhao-Arkkad force, so it's very relevant to my projects :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327715-xv-legion-automata-colours/#findComment-4560349 Share on other sites

I'll be holding off on painting anything until the book is out then, though at least I now have a perfect painting recipe :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327715-xv-legion-automata-colours/#findComment-4560368 Share on other sites
