karden00
Battle for the Abyss is a fantastic launchpad from which to tackle Praetorian of Dorm. An absolute must, even reread if it's been a while. DarkChaplain
Legion, The Crimson Fist, The Lightning Tower, Hands of the Emperor, Blood Games, Templar.. Honestly, there's a lot of buildup for Praetorian of Dorn throughout the series. I would advise against jumping straight for it. Izlude
Yeah I re-read the books DC recommends, PoD pulls in alot from these stories. Nothing major but makes the book more enjoyable ranging from Dorn's early interaction with the last remembrancer to Archamus's small (only?) role in the lightning tower. If anything pretty much the stories DC mentions are awesome and some of the best in the HH series. As for battle for the abyss I personally do not think it is required. Maybe if u read the Calth stuff but barely...just my own opinion it was the worse book in the series. The purple heresy website (personally fav) had a great review of it but mostly cause it is funny as hell.
