Combat_Vet
As an old army is complete (IW) a new one must begin. I will be posting my WiP's as well as completions here, to I hope get some ideas for improvement on build, painting, and even army composition. I have the first five marines complete and will be starting the rest of the squad as well as at least one Sicaran soon. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w291/meadows88/IMG_0005_zpskpqdtgir.jpg As always as ideas for improvement, additions, or other C&C is always welcome. Marcelis
I have had a lot of success adding shading to red armour by using green glazes. I know it sounds crazy, but it adds a lot of depth and looks better than using a black wash. The added complication is, whilst it doesn't look like green when it is over red, it will tint metallics and other pigments green. As a result, I usually paint and shade the red portions completely before moving onto the metallics. You may want to test this out if you are planning on painting lots of Blood Angels. I love your metallics, by the way Best wishes!
