Specialist games ?

Necromunda seems like a very likely candidate although I wouldn't oppose a more generic Hive-City skirmish ruleset that also allowed Inq28, Genecults and so forth. Battlefleet Gothic seems like a no-brainer as well, to capitalise on new recruits to the setting brought in by the PC Game.

I'm honestly really hoping for an Epic-scale boxed game. I was gifted the original Space Marine box set a long time ago but never really learned the rules as I was too young to wrap my head around it. Love the scale though, and I hope they release something along those lines.

Battlefleet gothic is something I'd really like to see... I got into Warhammer just in time to see it on the webstore for the final months, thinking "hey that looks like fun, maybe I'll get some later", only to have it all vanish...

Still, one can dream, right?

^ Gothic always looked amazing when I used to see it set up in stores. Only had so much money though, so despite all my gawking I kept to 40k.

Some day soon, I'm sure, we'll both be able to make good on our interests with snappy new plastics!

I was very happy with Silver Tower and my buddies are prepping for another season of Blood Bowl so I am happy these games are coming back.

Personally I would love to play Gothic again and dust off my Chaos fleet.

I would also like to play epic. Something I had never gotten a chance to play that looks too good. Especially now that someone is sculpting these sweet HH minis for the die hands who still play.

Maybe Mordheim...

My vote would be for the Necromunda. I recall some time ago an epic terrain (built all from foam material) specifically built for Necromunda or Space Hulk. Good memories.

Sadly, it may be a long time 'till we see Necromunda and Mordheim now. Blood Bowl sold very very very very very very very well (SURPRISE?!). Hence they get more ressources. AT won't get rushed, they get more time to do it propperly. They currently work on the artwork for the titan's death black book. We will see a lot of Blood Bowl releases (although I think most people will still think its too slow).

What this will mean for Necromunda? Well, AT will even get realm of battle boards. I think that tells you the scale of these projects. Yet we will have to wait (that's the price for good releases ^^)

So my FLGS manager informs me (but don't quote him!) that last time he spoke with someone in design they were working on (in no real order) Necromunda, Gothic and Titans :D So if Shadow War is Newcromunda the next games should be huge war machines, either way :D

Im actually liking that they're bringing out new "sub-games" as well. Like the knight one and more obviously the dark eldar bikes one with its cardboardy content. It's new ideas with existing models.

Obviously re-releasing the old school games is a stellar move but these small versions hint to me that they're putting a bit of thought into the players.

It provides a subtle indication that they know that the hobby can be more than just 'play the core game'.

which imo is a refreshing reminder of days past when they encouraged tin can and egg carton terrain. Even if they cant directly encourage such things now days.

Afaik the current plan is to release the plastic scenery via Shadow Wars sets and let FW handle the "classic" Necromunda gangs in resin down the line.

Eh...I'd much rather prefer plastic. Probably gonna do my own conversions instead of getting FW stuff then.

Plenty of conversions there to get your creative juices flowing. Plus John Blanche himself posts there a lot. I even had an in depth convo with him about refreshing beverages,  he likes Earl Grey tea with a slice of lemon *vomits*.
