Grand Entrance of WS into Forge World HH

Yarant will more than likely be its own thing because it was a major battle from the Titanicus fluff and FW named the major battles in retribution as Mars, Tallarn, Calth, and Yarant so expect to see those as the centerpieces for future books.

I actually had to look up "Yarant"

During the Horus Heresy, Yarant III became the site of a battle between the Space Wolves and a coalition of traitor forces led by Abaddon. The Space Wolves were routed and Leman Russ badly injured, though in the end they were saved by the Raven Guard led by Corax.[4]

Previous Editions

In earlier editions, it was stated that the Space Wolves had been routed by only the Alpha Legion at Yarant.

...so this is basically the subject of Thorpe's Weregeld

Nothing to do with Wraight...and I think Thorpe made the SW's utter defeat easier to stomach compared to the previous version

Still highly unpalatable, considering we get beat AGAIN by the AL at Alaaxes.

This is just one of many reasons why Wolves fans are depressed.

In the Alpha Legion Index Astartes article it was only a single Space Wolf company at Yarant.

In the original fluff (Codex Titanicus - the original, not the Titan Legions one) it was a major two year campaign involving multiple legions as well as both Orks and Eldar.
