GrandMagnus
So, this is just something I've been considering for a small future project, but I thought I'd ask before doing anything. I've been thinking of using the Death Korps grenadiers for some imperial army axiliary units and removing their heads and possibly arms, using cadian bits instead. So have any of you got any idea about how easy or difficult it is to remove their heads and cleaning up the area so a cadian FW head would fit? Commissar Ibram Gaunt
I would imagine it will be fairly difficult as you have to deal with the respirator. Also I am pretty sure death korps are true scale where as cadian a herioc scale so the head and arms may look too big? That's something I'll have to look into. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327949-removing-dkok-heads/#findComment-4576540 Share on other sites
Marshal Rohr
Cadian parts don't fit Krieg at all :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/327949-removing-dkok-heads/#findComment-4584225 Share on other sites
apologist
On a happier note, the Forge World Cadian upgrades (veterans, respirator et al.) scale very nicely with Elysians and Death Korps. In answer to the opening post, the difficulty really depends upon whether you're happy to resculpt anything, and whether you want to retain the collar.
