Didn't come out as well as I had hoped, but it's imposing enough for a suitable apocalyptic centerpiece (apoc c'tan rules) - Celestine is just too small for the big games.

I think I need to shade the wings somehow, just enough to give them a little depth and sparkle. Currently they just look unpainted no matter what background they are against.

I painted mine (bird wings) with the following :

 

White primer

Grey base , not too dark

Pale grey layer

Sepia wash

RE-layer pale grey

White finish

For yours, I'd probably do something neater if I had the skill, maybe a blue or yellow wash and pale grey then a vibrant white , to make them feel like an aura ? Or Something in the vein of the warhammer tv's Ducan-style Alarielle's dress but all the way from.pale blue to white ? I can't do so neat seamless transitions yet but I love that model's paint job.

 

Edit: for the latter, maybe you can do successive washes of blue with pulling it outward less and less ?
