John French at Black Library Live

John French is one of my favorite authors. He's at his best when not writing about Space Marine protagonists, too. So I'm definitely looking forward to His Inquisition book.

Even if I do like the stories French creates - I do want Wraight Inquisitor story more. It is much more prominent and Wraight writing style in cases not  combat heavy is much better

I'm looking forward to John French's Covenant novel(s) more, actually. The Purity of Ignorance was great, showing the discrepancy between how heretics may view themselves and their surroundings compared to what they really are and what is happening. It was a cool concept and a nifty (re)introduction for Covenant and his retinue.

You definitely haven't read Chris 'Argent' short - do you? Tis beyond amazing

VS & DC - absolutely right. He does Space Marines really well, but his vision of 30k/40k generally is exquisite too. But since the last of Atlas Infernal and Rob's related stories, my inquisitich hasn't been... purged.

I'd only just started Innocence the day before, so all I was able to say to John in person about it amounted to "I'm really enjoying it, and my surprise when I realised it was *that* Josef!" with a big, hopefully encouraging grin!

Combine that with Chris Wraight doing an Inquisition novel too? Exciting times ahead. (Needs some more Sanders too, but French & Wraight is also a very fine combo.)

And where would one even find that story? Google doesn't yield anything.

In  Bl Live 2016 chapbook?

Chris Carrion Throne would be epic - his excerpt of Terra he read via skype at Bl Live 2016 was amazing.

Well, there we go then. An event-exclusive short story not yet available to the masses. Can't hype me with stuff that isn't available to read.

That's not short - that's excerpt of a novel to be released in 2017. I think people who attend that event had the right to listen to it before anyone else? Right?

This novel probably would be the best novel from Chris ever written. If all the novel would be like that small glimpse - it would be Godlike

You're missing the point. You made claims as to people not being able to judge John's series to be more exciting yet and pointed towards a story that isn't readable yet to prove your "my opinion is better and the only valid opinion to have!" argument.

It doesn't work if the relevant "evidence", if we can call it that in the first place, is exclusive to a select few. It might very well be better, but until it is actually out, it cannot sway others, no matter how much you trumpet its glories.

1) agree on that - in 2017 you will see.

2) 'trumpet it's glory' - I always give due to amazingly written stuff, then it's totally well deserved
