Daimyo-Phaeron Lenoch
A quick question on where in the Ultima segmentum this is-it's rather vast, and will change what force disposition I can afford to spare, as the Omega Cohort's homeworld is in the northeast of Segmentum Tempestus. Thus, if you are up, in say, the galactic north, I won't be able to spare so many forces. Thurservor
Captain Hellebron of 3rd Company, Master of the Fleet - Vorpal Swords Chapter, commander of Strike Force Hellebron Native of Vryreus IV, Hellebron is a first Captain originating from Vorpal Swords new homeworld. He took the mantle of Captain after demise of late Captain of the 3rd - Brazydas, who in turn ascended to captaincy after Captain of the 3rd, Decias Horon, who led it since 329.M37 to 976.M38, when he became Vorpal Swords Chapter master. Both Horon and Brazydas originated from former Vorpal Swords homeworld Aurvad III. They also both fell in battle, Chapter Master Horon, during Waaagh Glamtruk in 213.M39 that infested Agramento Sector, and Captain Brazydas in 980.M40. Though enormously long life span of Brazydas may sounds suspicious to most it is noteworthy that he fell in battle against Dark Eldar raiders in 424.M38, and continued to serve the chapter as 3rd Captain from within dreadnought sarcophagus. Hellebron himself is a true embodiment of both what Vorpal Swords stand for, and specifically what 3rd Company excels at. He is flexible yet cautious commander, who above all else prizes efficiency. He despises vainglorious persecution of unrestrained warfare that many of Vorpal Swords cousins chapters prefer to perform. Vorpal Swords engage to win not to find glory, and this is what Hellebron is committed to achieve. Moreover Hellebron is a true disciple of Horon's axioms of void warfare. He adheres to prized by Vorpal Swords, doctrine of void superiority as foundation of each and every war campaign. As his predecessors Hellebron is also Vorpal Swords Master of the Fleet. During the times of rebirth of the chapter, the second chapter's battlebarge commissioned by Vorpal Swords in Mechanicum shipyards of Helack Majoris in Agramento Sector, was launched after Horon's death on the field of battle. Its "birth" name was "Diligence" In order to commemorate the efforts of securing spinward reaches of Ultima Segmentum undertaken by Chapter Master Horon, Captain Hellebron had the second chapter's battlebarge designated as Master of the Fleet flagship renamed "Horon's Vow". Onboard this ship in 929.M41, he answered the call of Baltus Crusade HQ and departed with Strike Force Hellebron towards Baltus Sector to reclaim it in the name of the Emperor. He was accompanied by 3 strike cruisers 7 light cruiser and two dozens of escorts of various size and class, thus taking with him the bulk of chapters fleet. Captain Hellebron embodies the old spirit of Vopral Swords previous homeworld culture. Even thou he originates from Feral World of Vryreus IV nomadic tribes, he is true to the lessons taught to him by Brazydas. Therefore Hellebron is diligent, cautious and cold blooded even in the deepest heat of battle. During the initial stage of Baltus Crusade Hellebron commanded entire 3rd and entire 7th companies with elements of 1st (sternguard veterans detachment and a dozen terminators), as well as a detachment of 10th Company scouts. When Captain Hellebron deploys to the battlefield, be it void action or engagement on planet surface, he marches to war clad in terminator armor, wielding power sword and storm bolter. Daimyo-Phaeron Lenoch
So here's the disposition of my Dawn Blades for this crusade. I may update this later, but this should provide enough info for now. Chapter name: Dawn Blades Descended from if known: Claims Iron Hands, not confirmed but also not denied, however latent pyromania suggests Salamanders; the chapter will readily place itself at the aid of any chapter should they request it. Founding number if known: between the 18-20th foundings. Descendants if known: None. Chapter origins: [Classified by Order of Kujo Kamakura: Unauthorized attempts at access will be met with a disciplinary board, with Astartes-grade punishments] Chapter Battle Doctrine: To begin battles, the Dawn Blades utilize overwhelming artillery strikes from off-field Astartes-grade weaponry. Upon the completion of the barrage, the Dawn Blades then advance in an armored column with heavy dreadnought support, rolling over the enemy like steamrollers. When engaging an entrenched enemy, Siege Assault squads are assembled (MkIII Breacher squads, if available) and brought forth from reserve and issued boarding shields and flamers to enter the trenches and cleanse it. Thunderhawks run firebombing runs to weaken the enemy before the breachers move in. Against mounted foes, heavy air support is employed to corral the enemy and spot for the artillery barrage, then move in and annihilate what’s left. When air support and bombardment are not available (e.g. when underground) Dreadnoughts and Centurions are brought forth to march at the fore, with Terminators marching behind them. When defending fortresses, they set up minefields and wait until the enemy has walked into them to detonate, and then contain and bombard the enemy until scraps are left, and advancing if the foe is particularly tenacious. To sum their strategy, there is overwhelming force; no holding back, whether in shooting or melee. As such, they tend to resent being held in reserve and take it as a personal insult if such is the case, often defying orders to deploy immediately. The Dawn Blades are no scalpel, they are the Emperor’s fiery broadsword. Chapter History (notable battles etc): 2nd Company major campaign against Necrons; various skirmish actions against all manner of foe; completed ork cleansing of primary recruiting world; major actions against the Tau; opening campaign against the Eldar Battle Cries: Burn in the fires of judgement! We are forged of the stars, we cannot be undone! The Emperor’s light shall burn forever! We are the guardians of hope; dawn will come! Notable Characters (as relevant to Baltus Sector Crusade): 3rd Company Chaplain Matthew Berius, Techmarine Khaar in charge of attached armory (temporarily commissioned to SAF III/2 Master of the Forge), two junior Techmarines in charge of their respective Armored Task Forces Colour scheme and Chapter symbol: red chestplates and packs, white limbs, silvered helms; a dawn-red sun with two crossed swords Battlefield Assets: Battle Demi-company Chaplain Berius (jump pack, crozius arcanum, bolt pistol) Tactical squad Osun Veteran Sergeant Osun (power sword, plasma pistol, melta bombs) 7 Battle-brothers 1 Plasma Cannon 1 Plasma Gun Tactical squad Windblade Sergeant Windblade (chainsword, bolt pistol, melta bombs) 7 Battle-brothers 1 Missile Launcher 1 Flamer Tactical squad Faftok Veteran Sergeant Faftok (lightning claw, power fist, melta bombs) 7 Battle-brothers 1 Meltagun 1 Missile Launcher Devastator squad Sergeant _____ (combi-plasma, signum) 5 Battle-brothers 4 plasma cannons Assault Squad Veteran Sergeant ________ (Grav Pistol, Power Maul) 2 Eviscerators 2 Flamers 5 Battle-brothers Dreadnought brother Vorantur (Hellfire variant, lascannons and missile launcher) [/spoiler[ Armored Task Force Theta Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Techmarine (5 servitors) Armored Task Force Epsilon Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Whirlwind squadron (3) Techmarine (5 servitors) Suppression Force Beta Whirlwind squadron (3, plasma warheads) Whirlwind squadron (3, plasma warheads) Land Speeder squadron (2) Other: Techmarine Khaar (Master of the Forge Temporary Commission) Strike Cruiser Solar Flare Deathstorm drop pods, even split between Assault Cannon and Missile barrage variants Tarantula batteries for holding positions that the Dawn Blades can’t be bothered to defend with breathing Astartes Two Cobra-class corvettes Thunderhawk gunships Thunderhawk transporters Stormraven gunships Stormtalon gunships, led by Ace Pilot Tomohiro Sunara piloting Raging Current EDIT: To clarify something. These guys will not stomach being held in crusade reserve. They'll just disobey orders otherwise, so if high command knows what's good for them, their paper-pushers, and their battleplans, they'll put the Dawn Blades in the front lines. (not meant to be snobbish or anything with that, just statement of how it will affect the other major players here) Edited March 14, 2017 by Captain Lenoch Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328055-baltus-sector-crusade-forces-and-organization/page/3/#findComment-4646754 Share on other sites
Reyner
Anyone offered to write up some stuff for the Deathwatch? I fancy having a crack at them :) is it only going to be a single Kill Team or would it be a full on Watch Company from a nearby Watch Fortress? A Watch Company is roughly 3-4 Kill Teams, a Watch Captain and possibly support from Chaplain, Librarian and a Dreadnought. Black Cohort
Since the campaign is mostly against chaos and human rebels I think a single squad of deathwatch makes more sense. But I am open to being convinced otherwise. Reyner
Yeah that's fair enough. I'll read more of the fluff but 1 killteam sounds decent, xenos do tend to be everywhere! Thurservor
I would like a narrative description of first crusade HQ council taking place with dialogue between key figures deciding upon how to commence the Emperor's wrath upon the sector. The HQ meeting should take place in the orbit of Ostium, as depicted on the newest version of the map. My folks will agree with the orders and take them with proper attitude befitting true Emperor's servants, and go on about their business cleansing nearby systems from Orc/rebel/chaos vermin as they go. Those events would be depicted in detail. But to get there i would rather see how all things started. Badass_Spaz
Are you still accepting Guardsmen forces? I have a fairly ghetto regiment who'd be down for getting their skulls bashed in by CSM. Badass_Spaz
Alrighty, so written up some incredibly ghetto, locally equipped regiments. They're designated Baron Regiments but come in four varieties. Baron Dogs, Basilisks, Cavarneers, and Mongrel's. All regiments are considered Baron Regiments yet each regiment might be composed of the listed below. So 16th Baron Regiment would be Baron Dogs while the 23rd would be Mongrels.Anyway, these slack jawed savages are shipped in via merchant vessels and freighters. The plan is to capitalize on the Sectors trade once the Crusade ends and garner favor from the munitorum, as well. Better supplies, vehicles, and eventually get recognized to be properly trained soldiers instead of back water savages. The 116 Regiments brought in from the Trojan Moons will primarily enlist themselves as vanguards on less defensible worlds, like Agri-Worlds and former Penal Worlds. Destabilize garrison forces, skirmishes, perhaps even take positions. The flotilla brought in will be integrated with Crusade navy but it'll have no active combat role besides shipping troops on mass. What guns they have are primarily defensible and virtually useless in void combat. Any other additional information you want I can provide later on. Right now I'm working on my own short story for the regiments I'll be focusing on. A neat little blip of the nastiness Baltus Sector will be cramming down the Crusades throat. Imperial Guard: Baron/Bismal Regiments Various moons orbiting the gas giant of Trojan- 00 Baron Theomore Bismal Niles Mosshire - Baron Dog Company Commander, Elren Hale - Basilisk Heavy Infantry Sargent, Gil - Mongrel Field Captain, and Mallick Desdrin - Acting Lord General and Baron/Bismal Regimental Representative (( Fill in later, kinda short on time right now. No significant battles to date. Combat history is a collection of garrison duty, small skirmishes, nothing significant. Baron Armed Regiments Listed below will be the unique weapons and vehicles utilized by Baron equipped regiments. These are relatively low-tech weapons built on mass, and often times cheaply. Baron weapons are quite reliable but pale in comparison to what's supplied by the Departmento Munitorum. Bismal himself arms these regiments from his own pocket, showing his own commitment to the approaching crusade while hoping to spread his brand into the stars. Las-weapons are rare by these regiment standards. Las-rifles have been converted into Long-Las to maximize their use on battlefields by equipping established marksmen. Guardsmen equipped with Long-Las's are highly respected individuals, seen as the pride of Bismal regiments for their decorated service. It's not uncommon for a sniper to take control if the current command structure falls into disarray.Baron Dogs Armored Regiments Since Baron Bismal avoided former Baron conflicts over arms trade, his moon was left in pristine condition in the wake of their wars end (Small skirmishes by Guardsmen standards) . Connections made with Cardinals on Valjohtun allowed him to take certain ambitious moves on moons now devoid of any significant governing figures. His charitable actions were accompanied by propagandist from Valjohtun, zealous priestly figures, and much of his own wealth spent. He invested a tremendous amount into militant fields while quite literately plundering the homes of former Baron rivals. Citizens of his world, a trader in one way or another, joined Bismal in this venture. Time and credits were spent wildly and what flourished was perhaps the only regiment in Baron territory which other Guardsmen could view as respectable. Former land crawlers designed for agricultural purposes have been transformed into light tanks, Naval and Militarum academies have been built, and virtually the entirety of Trojan- 46 has been devoted to militant ventures. Other trades remain as that's where his original wealth came from but Baron Bismal seeks a bigger role in the greater Imperium. This has lead to exceptional guardsmen being produced on Trojan- 46 with only vague disciplinary issues. A far cry from former guards outright being accused of murdering their commissars. Infantry Weapons Bismal Pattern Heavy Stubber - The Bismal Pattern Stubber has a slower rate of fire than other patterns and fires high caliber rounds. A bipod with spiked end punctures the ground to further stabilize the stubbers horrible recoil. Flak armor does little to prevent the instant death and/or maiming a single bullet from this stubber. .54 Tranter Hand Cannon - Officers and Commissars are distinguished throughout all Baron regiments by this weapon alone. Baron Carbine - Commonly equipped throughout Baron armed regiments, Shredder Carbines switch between single shot and three-round burst fire. A loud and almost cumbersome weapon, it's purposely designed this way in case said guardsmen needs a bludgeoning weapon in close quarters. However, there are no official reports of ever jamming, thus, making it a fairly reliable weapon. Baron Rifle - Guardsmen from this regiment have the luxury of choice, either choosing the Baron Carbine or Baron Rifle. These rifles are modified Baron Carbines sporting an extended barrel and different munitions entirely. A clip of eight-rounds of bullets used Bismal Stubbers are used making a single shot from this weapon fatal. Long-Las - Only veteran marksmen are awarded the priviledge to actually used las-weaponry, and as such, what remaining las-guns can be founded are modified into long-las. These are one of few Imperial grade weaponry used in Bismal armed Regiments. Armored Vehicles Basilisk Magnus - A show of wealth more then anything, these monstrous artillery pieces are bought and shipped from the Forge World. These pieces are few and in between, usually demanding a few favors to be called and even more pockets to be filled Baron Cruisers - Essentially exactly the same as Siegfrieds, the motivation is entirely different. Baron forces began fitting these vehicles in order to compensate for their previous lack of armor in their own regiments. Even though this has been rectified in recent decades, many cruisers are still in service as main front line tanks. Devil Dog (Melta Cannon) - Possibly the most advanced weapons used by Baron regiments, the Melta Cannon equipped on this machine helps balance the playing field against regiments using Leman Russ tanks or Demon Engines. Where every regiment has been shown to express a need for mobility in some form or another, Baron Dogs show their own by using these tanks in numbers. A small contingency of Devil Dogs will accompany an even larger pack of Baron Cruisers against other armored forces. Hydra Flak Tank - As stated in the link, these tanks provide air support as well as ground support. However, Baron regiments cannot expend as many Chimera's as they wish. As such, Hydra guns will be brought in via tow to become a temporary gun emplacement. Trojan - The very vehicle the gas giant and it's moons are named after the Trojan vehicles were found and not created. The Escort Carriers that later became the Baron's primary vessels carried a whole surplus of Trojan's. Considering the amount he owned and ready for deployment, former Barons were reluctant to drag him into their conflicts. These Trojan still remain in relatively good condition, now being utilized by all Baron armed regiments for resupply purposes.Special Equipment Carapace Armor - No heavy infantry or general infantry have access to Carapace armor except Baron Dogs. Basilisks, Caverneers, and Mongrel's do not have Carapace.Basilisk Artillery/Infantry Regiments Second largest force armed by Baron equipment, much of Basilisk current military equipment has been renamed by Baron Bismal himself. They've given over much of their moon, colonizes (What remains of them) and holdings to the Baron. Previously conflicted between merchant trade empires were fought primarily on their moon during a Sector wide crisis. Astarte's eventually came to exact punishment on these would-be rulers but in doing so, decimated their colonies. Thus, in exchange for considerable humanitarian aid from Baron Bismal, have turned what remains of their world into a military bastion. All Basilisk infantry use gas-mask and equipped with Choke and Toxin Gas Grenades. They'll further armor themselves by knitted together thick rubber to catch shrapnel from explosives, or so they believe.Infantry WeaponsChoke Grenade - Used primarily by Basilisks regiments to emphasize their use on chemical warfare. Some Baron Dog regiments may use these grenades but only if the situation calls for it.Toxin Gas Grenade - Each Basilisk carries a single Toxin and Choke grenade. Their toxin clouds are known to linger for half, sometimes an entire hour after use.Bismal (Basilisk) Pattern Grenade Launcher - This pattern of Grenade Launcher isn't known for lobbing grenades over battlements, instead fires in a straight trajectory. Drums have been supplemented for clips for easy interchangeable grenades, given the situation. It's not uncommon for soldiers to fire all three grenades in quick succession.Bismal (Basilisk) Pattern Missile Launcher - Some, if not few infantry squads use missile launchers but they're normally resign for more veteran guardsmen. The Bismal Pattern Missile launchers are crew by three men. One takes the role of spotter, another readies ammunition, while the last fires. A single shot weapon, it's known for it's precision accuracy and with the three-man crew, can move from one point to another with a dozen missiles between them.Bismal (Caverneers) Pattern Shotgun - Equipped with an extended stock and pistol grip, the defining feature of this weapon is it's loading feature. A belt of varying length is attached to it's side, and as it fires, feeds the belt out the other end. It's unclear when the Basilisks have adopted this weapon into their arsenal.Long-Las - Only veteran marksmen are awarded the privilege to actually used las-weaponry, and as such, what remaining las-guns can be founded are modified into long-las. These are one of few Imperial grade weaponry used in Bismal armed Regiments.Basilisk Armored SupportBismal (Basilisk) Heavy Quad Launcher - Basilisk developed Quad Launchers are smaller in comparison to other Quad Launchers for fast towing. The ammunition is normally krak based explosives to ensure maximum damage on vehicle and fortified enemies. Due to its size, the impact isn't as impressive as previous designs.Bismal (Basilisk) Heavy Mortar - Essentially their sledge hammer, these Heavy Mortars are laboriously towed/dragged from one front to another. Larger than other designs leading them to be exceptionally difficult to transport, the impact from their shells have been known to overturn battle tanks. Some theorize one direct hit from these behemoth Mortor could decimate the legendary Bane Blade.Bismal (Baron Dog) Land Crawler - On Baron Bismal's homeworld his regiments have been outfitted with numerous light tank divisions derived from land crawlers. Basilisk crew their own divisions but not on the scale the Baron Dog Regiments do. Their Land Crawlers are fitted with Improved Comms and Autocannons . They're noted for their coordinated hit and run tactics.Basilisk Special EquipmentBasilisk Venom - Used prior to their perceived death, Basilisk use this one time drug for a sudden surge of adrenaline. Their heart races and they sweat profusely. Once taken the injection, a form of manic consumes them. Several hours after injection, their heart inevitably explodes.Caverneers Mechanized Infantry Regiments A society that exclusively lives underground, having a Mechanized regiments sounds absolutely absurd, and it should. What makes them a Mechanized regiment is their converted mining vehicles into armored transports. Scavenged mining vehicles, as well as those from the service, have since been upgraded to a military standard. The mineral rich underground facilities have allowed Caverneers to maintain a small monopoly on Taurox and Centaur vehicles. However, these vehicles are usually in need of repair or refitting. The Adapt from the Forge Temple built there has burdened himself with this task in his own vein hopes of attaining his own rewards for supplying the regiments with quality vehicles. In contrast to Basilisk and Mongrel regiments, they're considerably smaller and usually compare to Baron Dogs in that regard. They compensate for their smaller regiments by forming unique bonds with the Basilisk and Mongrel regiments. Whilst these three regiments are deployed together they work in sync, utilizing one another strengths to supplement their own weakness. In prolonged engagements its become natural for mixed squads, even platoons to be formed consisting of members from these regiments. Infantry ArmsBismal (Caverneers) Pattern Shotgun - Equipped with an extended stock and pistol grip, the defining feature of this weapon is it's loading feature. A belt of varying length is attached to it's side, and as it fires, feeds the belt out the other end. Bismal (Caverneer) Mole Launcher - Unlike the two-man Mole Launcher seen the link, Caverneer launchers require a three-man team unless mounted on a vehicle. The launcher itself is supported by a thick set tri-pod and cogitator system is carried separate. Mole Launchers are deployed circumstantially, usually against heavy tanks or fortifications. It must be noted that when deployed against heavy tanks, these tanks are either crippled or in the process of being crippled. Bismal (Caverneer) Demolition Charge/Mine - A simply made explosive charge inserted into a tube of plastic. The charge is more commonly used as a weight mine. The idea to insert it into a plastic tube instead of metal was purely malicious. Because the Dark Eldar inflicted incomprehensible suffering on their moon, they hope the plastic would remain in their most hated enemy as a constant reminder. Caverneer Stick - Often referred to as Sticks, ordinary grenades have been modified with an assortment of spikes and a haft. Another malicious device, it's intent is quite obvious, creating a make shift sticky grenade. The spikes are sharpened to ensure a measure of penetration while adding additional shrapnel in the ensuing blast. Flamer - Flamers have become increasingly more popular in Caverneer ranks due to their religious beliefs. The Order Non-Militant present on their moon have influenced a form of fanaticism leading to flamers. As unconventional as they are, they're used circumstantially but exceptions can be made. Bismal Pattern Heavy Stubber - The Bismal Pattern Stubber has a slower rate of fire than other patterns and fires high caliber rounds. A bipod with spiked end punctures the ground to further stabilize the stubbers horrible recoil. Flak armor does little to prevent the instant death and/or maiming a single bullet from this stubber. Caverneers have mounted this weapon onto their vehicles and has become the main weapon in heavy infantry squads.Armored Transports/Vehicles Bismal (Caverneer) Centaur - As the main frontline vehicle in Caverneer regiments, Centaurs come in numbers using a plethora of enhancements. Time and effort is put into adding additional weapons and armor onto these tanks. Two heavy stubbers support the main Mole Launcher mounted on top. Bismal (Caverneer) Taurox - Unlike other Taurox in the Imperium, those built on Trojan- 26 don't have the same engine. Slower than other models, that's essentially where the differences end. Special Equipment Caverneer Flak Armor - While it's stated to be Flak Armor, the traditional flak armored used by regular guardsmen varies greatly. An insect species is farmed and harvested on Trojan- 26 for their chitin. This chitin is later remolded into what resembles flak armor. Comparable to carapace but twice as light, officers are permitted a suit of Mustoine Armor.Mongrel Light Infantry Regiments The most numerous regiments throughout Baron equipped forces. Essentially feral by most standards, the Mongrel's are a war-like people with a predisposition for birthing triplets regularly. Their number swell Baron regimental ranks bringing their tribalistic culture with them. From a moon with a Space Hulk lodged inside, they've been fighting and killing feral servitors since before Imperial records. Men and women who kill a servitor file their teeth into points known as Earning your fangs. Another overtly noticeable trait is their mechanicus-like tattoo's. They believe it makes them invisible to the metal monsters. Mongrel's rely on their brother Trojan regiments to supply vehicle support beyond their own bikes or transport vehicles. Their role fluctuates from infiltration and reconnaissance to full blown shock troops. This fluctuation stems from early primitive behavior, stalking through pitch black hulls, writhing quietly in cramped spaces in order to find that perfect vantage point. Brass Behemoth, the Space Hulk that decimated their moon, turned the former feral world humans into a world of man-made predators. Thus, Mongrel's have adapted to this unfortunate reality later becoming the most prestigious, and decorated soldiers among the Baron equipped regiments.Infantry Weapons Mongrel Axe(s) - The traditional weapon of average Mongrel Guardsmen, their axes are fashioned from scrapes of metal collected from Brass Behemoth. Each axe varies in contorted ways, usually either serrated or sporting a pick. Mongrel Spear - Veteran Mongrel Guardsmen adopt the Spear for it's versatility and a show of experience among his/her peers. Those that use spears are particularly vicious close quarters fighters, often shown to display a combination of athletics and precision thrusts. Mongrel Bolas - A show of their ingenuity, few Mongrel's bring a Bolas into battle. These Bolas's are attached to a roll of wire mounted on their belt. Once the prey has been ensnared, they'll unlatch the roll and tie it off onto a sturdy structure in case they miss the preys legs. Mongrel Handbow - At first glance this weapon is dismissed as a pistol, however, the bow arms retract once drawn. Mongrel's conceal these weapons as well as bolts in their boots. Mongrel Crossbow - Essentially their anti-armor, the Crossbow fires modified bolts from short to medium ranges. The sharpened bolts allow for a certain degree of penetration on lighter vehicles. Otherwise, Crossbows are more common in Bike Squads where the passenger wields the crossbow. Baron Shredder Carbine - Commonly equipped throughout Baron armed regiments, Mongrel's tie on bayonets onto these burst fire autoguns.Armored Transports/Vehicles Mongrel Bikes (Dirty Riders) - Scavenged from various cargo hulls inside Brass Behemoth, bikes have become the Mongrel's signature vehicle. They show excellent driving skills, often drifting with a passenger behind them, and performing feats others dare not try. Bike squads typically move out in groups of four to six, each bike having a driver and passenger. They spread as vanguards to quickly transport snipers to ideal positions. Otherwise, passengers use crossbows with the intent to sabotage enemy vehicles by shooting their tracks, or if exposed, the ammunition. Baron Pig Runner - Apply named by the Baron Dogs, the Pig Runner has been adopted into Mongrel regiments in mass. Easily produced and notoriously loud, it's been modified to carry crew of six on the back with a driver and passenger in front. While not very armored it's noticeably faster than other Tauros vehicles but remains twice as loud. Behemoth Sentry Guns - The Forge founded inside the Space Hulk located inside Trojan- 02 has modified broken/dead sentry guns. This has lead to Baron regiments to deploy smaller variations of Tarantula Turrets deployed manually. Their small size allows them a great deal of versatility, setting the single las turret in well-hidden places. The Adapt himself seldom equips Baron vehicles with these turrets, when given the appropriate tribute . Special Equipment The Omnissiah's Sight - Given the almost uncomfortable close relations the primitive Mongrel's have with the Forge in Brass Behemoth, the Adapt bestows a blessing on certain Mongrel Guardsmen who preforms a certain Imperial rank. Curiously enough, those who are given this Sight are taught a pacific prayer to indulge its spirits needs.
