Nothing Less."  The 65th Company of the Dark Angels 6th Order is one of them many forces that were seen operating under the banner of the First during the Civil War. Led by Artur El' Uthor, the company focussed on mechanized warfare and lightning strikes that allowed for quick and violent assault to win the day. The company was part of Corswain's fleet following the dispersal of the VIII Legion, and was one of the many outriders that preceded the Lion's Seneschal.  ​Predominantly comprised of Calibanite warriors following the Rangdan Xenocide, the Company was quick to adopt the traditions of its home planet and  culture, with many of Company being members of the Order prior to the Lion's arrival. Artur would lead his forces against legionaries of the XIVth and XVIth legion following the skirmish at Cresnia IX, and would be renowned for breaking the Siege of Ishrafn. Interestingly enough, XVth legion forces as well as a group of Custodes and the Silent Sisterhood would also be found amongst the Company, though in extremely small numbers. Leading the way is my Delegatus Khamael, clad in his ornate tartaros pattern armour, he is yet to be finished as ive got to change the terran greatsword blade for something more knightly (thinking of a sister of silence sword) and a volkite charger braced on his hip. Next is my Primus Medicae Uriel. He is the limited edition model that was released December 27th. I have also completely built 2 more Deimos Predators and a Laser destroyer Vindicator and have finally ordered a super heavy for my Ironwing. Forward Assist Posted January 2, 2017 Share Posted January 2, 2017 To add to the ranks of Tartaros and CHOOM in the First Legion, I have finally got finished the second of a pair of 'swordsman' terminators I put together a couple of months ago. (Yeah, I am slow...) When I first started on my terminators, I chose to equip them with power swords for mostly aesthetic reasons. I opted to model these two in duelling poses in reflection of the more recent mastery of the blade rules. The one on the left I posed as if in en garde whilst the one on the right is on the backswing of a disembowelling slash, both having mag-locked their Volkite chargers to their hips. I quite like how dynamic the Tartaros models look, making them look flexible enough to actually duel properly. As these are the first of my terminators I've posted in this thread, I'll go through my head-canon on how they work. These two models are older ones but hopefully better show my underlying idea. I've never been fond of the storm-bolter/power-fist combo: Where would he carry the cumbersomely large spare drum magazines? How would a terminator reload his weapon with a giant hand after hours of combat in a space hulk? Or use a keypad to open a door? I wanted my terminators to be able to have free hands if needed. As you can see, the one on the left has his charger in one hand and sword in the other, as if fighting normally. The one on right shows how it would work if he needs to reload by mag-locking his sword to the rear before swapping out power packs being re-charged by the suit. Alternatively, if duelling, the terminators can mag-lock their chargers to their hip. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
