Grgobart
I have been doing my varnishing by brush for quite a while now and recently started using Anti-Shine by the Army Painter. I haven't found a reason to complain, yet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328366-decent-matte-varnish/#findComment-4578973 Share on other sites
madscuzzy
The brush on Vallejo Game Matte varnish is pretty good and comes out more matte than the Vallejo Polyurethane one. The Polyurethane on is pretty good through an airbrush though. My personal favourite is the Winsor Newton Anti-UV matte. Sugarlessllama
I have had good luck with Armory Clear Matte Sealant. You can get it for under $5 at a lot of stores. I have also had good luck with good old fashioned Krylon Matte Varnish. You can pick that up at most proper art stores for under $10. Although with the Armory spray make sure you REALLY shake it up, and spray closer to the model than you normally would. Otherwise it might dry cloudy.
