Grotsmasha
Having quickly Googled the helmets, are you after the basic infantry design, or trackback he dress/officer design? Quixus
You mean a Pickelhaube? I don't remember seeing WWI style helmets anywhere, but lots of WWII style. cephalopod
maybe something like this http://i.imgur.com/Qe3sdh8.jpg. but would they fit over a space marine helmet. Also what model is this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328450-space-marine-german-ww1-helmet-conversion-help/#findComment-4582726 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
You mean the Stahlhelm? The closest match I know of is Puppetswar's Blitz Troopers. The head is also sold separately. At such scales, I'm afraid you'll have to replace the Space Marine's entire head- I doubt it's economical for model companies to make detachable helmets for such small models. CaptainStabby
If you aren't set on the astartes front grill, would the Eisenkern helmets from Dreamforge work? The Valkir heads are properly scaled for GW minis, and the Stormtruppen ones are more guardsmen scaled. Either way might save you some greenstuff/cutting time. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0284/7086/products/3large_fc594754-fa19-4637-9712-7d090c1748f9.jpg?v=1446584900 Theres like 60 loose heads in that Valkir box I think 20 of each flavor. Not sure.. I do want to keep the astartes mask. Going to try shapeways they sell helmets without heads. Hollowed helms. I figure it will look good after some cutting. MadGreek
So something about Shapeways. I ordered something that was 28mm and it was just a BIT too small for my liking. That said, if these are a bit too small, contact the designer. I did that, and he scaled up the models for me so they fit better. Not sure they will all do that, but it would be worth an ask.
