Banjulhu
So I'm getting into HH, decided to pick up the Alpha Legion, looked at their special RoW and have a question? What exactly is an "Infantry squad" as refered to in limitations? The Core 40K rules define Units and use the word squads descriptively when talking about them but a squad is not a defined mechanical thing in the game. What we playe with are units and they have types such as infantry,, bike, vehicle ect. Does Infantry squad in the Coils of the Hydra actually mean Units with the Infantry type?If that is so does it mean you cant take any characters on foot as they dont have a dedicated transport or infiltrate of deep strike (Vigilators and Alpharius not withstanding)? Jarkaira
I guess the Squad means anything else than single model units of Infantry type. You are right for the wording not being in line with other terms used in the rules. v6v77
An interesting thing to note is that Rapier batteries do not count as infantry squads (they are artillery) yet still benefitbfrom infiltrate if you decide to give it to them. As a long term (albiet poor) AL player rapiers w/ quad mortars are amazingly versatile and even more so with coils for an infiltrated alpha strike on armoured nasties or big blobs.
