Iconic Canoness is coming this weekend.

Not trying to be creep but as a 6'6" person, I am glad they made taller women in a game finally.... I have always felt it odd that the tall people in stories are either superheros or monster/alien like beings. Kind of why I started an Amazon army for a fantasy army, but I digress....

I actually was near my LGS today and stopped in to grab some paint, as I am breaking out the simple green and a bucket to finally get around to painting the sisters I bought on ebay my way. Was looking for Veridyan and couldn't see here. I did how ever notice some Curse of the Wulfen two book box set and figured it might be worth having as the Dire Wolves might actually see the table again. The person at the counter said, "getting back into 40K some?" and I said yea and mentioned I was going to be painting my sisters for the escalation league in hopes that most of what I have will be painted for when the plastics come out, she then asked if I had the new cannoness yet, and I said no, she then pull the box out from behind the counter sold it to me. I was so excited!!!!

Got home and noticed she has he own little rule set in the box. Having played all of 3 games of 7th, I have no idea if they are worth it, but it seems cool none the less.

She's the same as the normal Canoness, but gives Sisters within 12" Precision shots, which means if they roll 6s to hit they get to pick which models in a unit get hit by those shots rather than just hitting the closest model. This applies to vehicles too, like the exorcist :)

And welcome back to the game and to Sisters! Here's a flamer. I'm sure you already have one, but take it anyway :P

Definitely a good backfield Canoness. The power sword is what it is, but if you run exorcists or retributors in a bastion or otherwise her special rules do help. I would imagine that you could position her close enough to help out your HS baseline as well as a 20 sister blob squad in front of them. I think it depends more on your shooting build base vs scouting. Get her to the right spot and it can help, but it still procs on 6's, so don't count to heavily on it.

So...I did a thing about bought the new Canoness, my first Sisters model. Only issue is that her sword is a bit bent and looks rather fragile. Does anyone know any ways to fix it?

Also, after years of Astartes, damn she's skinny! That powerpack is almost...cute.

I had the same issue with the sword being bent. it was only slightly bent, only really noticeable on close inspection.

Resin is usually soft and malleable once heated.  One way to fix it would be to put it in a cup of warm water until it softens enough for you to carefully straighten it out.

Do this. But - practice first on a piece of resin sprue so you get the hang of it. It is an expensive and rare mini, better be safe then sorry. :)

Personally I have a lot of luck with Gorilla brand superfluous. It seems to be slightly less brittle than other glues.

Before assembling/painting resin often needs a soapy water bath and light scrub with a soft toothbrush (just like you do with metal) as mold release agent can still be on the model causing glue to fail to adhere properly or do weird thing to your paint.

I think the units had to have the Sisters faction to benefit from the bubble, so Knights would be disqualified. Imagine those million-shot weapon options - similarly to the Leman Russ Punishers. It'd be nasty indeed.

In that case what about the Cerastus chassis knights from Forgeworld:

"Other Armies of the Imperium Factions: A Cerastus Knight-Atrapos may be taken as a Lords of War choice for any faction that is a part of the Armies of the Imperium (see the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook)"
