Some really interesting ideas here - the heavy industrial apron, the broad MkIV-style rebreather/half-helm, the asclepian serpents on the breastplate - but just does not come together to make a decent model. Good detail but the whole thing looks lumpy and ponderous.

Why would you stick a big cumbersome apron on a suit of armour designed for clearing space hulks? Hardly seems worth keeping it clean. Fabius Bile's coat is similar but the look works there because he's less burdened down by it.

One of those weapons is presumably a needle gun.

An apron on a terminator. Like dreadnought tactical armour needs extra protection against gore.

It's canon. During the early tests at the beginning of the Unification Wars, the suits that were utilized to work in irradiated environments and upon which the Tactical Dreadnought Armor was later based on proved to be extremely resilient to kinetic impacts and degradation as well as void-safe, but in the final testing stages they proved to dissolve upon contact with blood. A second variant that resisted contact with vitae was devised but depended on a painting primer that provided that protection but was, at the same time, water soluble, which caused grave problems in prolonged combat operations.

Thus, the Tactical Apron was devised to protect Field Medics from blood.

I'm not sure what to think...I want to like, but there is something weird about it.

Regardless I would only a get a Terminator Apothecary if the model blew me away. Not sure this is the case... unsure.png

EDIT: Doesn't the bottom part of the helmet suggest MKV aesthetics? Like Tyberos' armour? Interesting...

I think if you don't use the weird legs, perhaps mix with the Terminator Praetor or LE Praetor and it would look ace.

While goofy, the apron probably helps to protect less against direct combat damage; but the various concoctions they probably use to heal people. A lot of the stuff they use is probably highly corrosive, or otherwise damages the armour over time. Considering he may need to carve open Terminator armour to heal people too, he probably definitely has some highly corrosive stuff in his vials of healing doom.

It's not awful, but it's not great either... can't quite put my finger on it. The chainsword looks awkwardly tacked-on.

This, coming after the Ultramarines herald, has me believing the rumor that they're using models that were done by new sculptors or whatever and didn't quite meet the usual standards.

That said, if I can find time to drive out to gee-dubs that weekend I'll probably buy one.

Looks to me like the saw is on an expanding arm-thingy...

I quite like it, not sure I'll get it, as it doesn't fit in anywhere, but I might get it just to paint up as something different.
