Baneblade with land Raider tracks?

So i was thinking about building a couple of Spartans using the Land Raider with Baneblade tracks technique.

This would leave me with 2 sets of Land Raider tracks and 2 baneblade hulls though, which makes me think of how to combine them to possibly make a Bane/Fell variant of some kind. Now obviously Land Raider tracks are too small alone, but i havent been able to find good picture of extended length tracks on the hull or possibly an ordinatus style double track unit on an extended baneblade/shadowsword hull.

Am i insane? Could the Idea work? Ideally id want to get at least 3 tanks out of this to justify the cost :D

Yar i was gonna steal Doghouse's(?) idea, i considered it when he was first building but didnt have the army it would fit with, now im roughing out plans for Deathguard and that pattern just seems so spectacularly Deathguard to me smile.png

Oooh that looks awesome Grotsmasha, gonna have to give that a read biggrin.png

This is how the original Spartan and Sabre came about. Left over bits from the Spartan, which was supposed to be a Terminator transport originally, were used to make the Sabre tank hunter. I think it might be worth a shot at making something out of the left over parts, I'm not sure what would be the best way to use the baneblade hulls though.

One idea I was playing around with quite recently was sticking the front of a Storm Wolf onto the hull of a Land Raider to create a slightly cheaper Spartan. I did get both kits and it is entirely possible to be honest, I've just not had the time to implement it yet.

I think both kits together cost me £80 together which I picked up at my local store and off the top of my head I think the Spartan is about £105 and then there is shipping on top of that. The main problem for me on that though is that you need to take into account the actual man hours you are going to be spending converting the kits over the assembly time spent on the FW model. The plastic conversion may be cheaper in materials but could be harder to replicate and longer to construct.

Another option may be to use the original concept of the Spartan and wack a rhino chassis on the front, maybe reverse the hull so you get the drop down assault ramp. Personally I'd use the Storm Wolf as it comes with a vent on the top of the nose which could easily be converted into a gun mounting.

As for the Falchion idea Noserenda that could well work. I'd take a look at the Bane Blade and Shadow Sword kits and see what the actual difference is in terms of parts first. It could well turn out that left over Shadow Sword bits are more useful
