Good shout, Battybattybats, The Glitch Mob is very much the right sound for getting me in the mindset!

That said, if a combination of visuals and sounds is more your thing, might I submit this for the Collegia's consideration:

Oh wow i never saw the clip for that and the ochre pyramids make it very very apt. Nice!

Ok well if we are going martian pyramids and visuals and music mix then i have to post this long subtle piece which i painted my Knight and much of my other mechanicus to.

And for something with more beat how about something older

I'm not the only one who listens to movie/game soundtracks, right?... right...? And the occasional Lustmord.

Not at all. I've been listening to the Undertale sopundtrack a lot recently which conflicts with 40k quite a lot but you don't have to listen to themes music all the time. (I do think I'll need to compile a suitable playlist for a long project like an Imperial Knight however)

That's what I listen to when I play WoT. For painting, though, I like mindless reality television or a let's play of a somewhat boring game. It helps me focus. happy.png

Seeing Belisarius Cawl got me like:

And it'd feel wrong to let this thread go too far before dropping in at least one Les Rockets track (They very much inspired Daft Punk)

Oh my.... That is so Ad Mech it hurts...

Destroying your enemies by pulping them with the overwhelming Sonic blast of the song of your inevitable Victory.

"OI BOSS, WAZ DAT NOI....

WAAAAAAAAAAAHHH - "

I'm not the only one who listens to movie/game soundtracks, right?... right...? And the occasional Lustmord.

A buddy of mine listens to the dark Knight sound track when he works out... it's like 2 hurt of weird dark atmospheric noise... lol

He Used to just listen to Austrian death machine when he worked out but laughing while benching is a bad idea...

I used to love metallica's ride the lightning, master of puppets and and justice for all albums, esp for IG... "you will die! When I say! You must die! Back to the front!" I think I will name a commissar "Hetfield"

The right sound system for Mechanicus music... Ordinatus Mars equipped with Sonic Disruptor!

Well done, you just made the Noise Marines cry. :p

I suppose Forge World made the Ordinatus Minoris so the Mechcanicus could have backup singing? I like to think that the Sonic Disruptors are really just a Magos making dial-up noises into a microphone like this:

actually thats how I think binary sounds; dialup noises sped up

You mean the ancient holy hymnal 'Mode M' attributed to the ancient Martian Composer 'Dia Lup'.
A hymnal which i am sure is used to rouse Knights and Automata from their slumber.

As for smashing the enemy with the sound of victory, in 2nd edition i played The Forge by Peter Miller from the album Love Vs Gravity as i deployed 40 purestrain genestealers onto the table. I wanted a creepy building atmosphere and a touch of the funerary about it. I then ended up casting The Gate with irresistible force and those Genestealers all ended up in his deployment zone.. it was a short game. I've not done that since, but now of course i have an army even better suited to the track, and having a soundtrack for your army sounds to me like a great way of adding fun to a game.

Consider this then for the sacred task of Deployment, but i'm sure something much punchier will suit for your first turn.

EDIT: Lol, just after i post it i find it on youtube when it didn't show moments before.

I listen to some inspiring music when I work out (dark knight soundtrack actually being one of the :P ) and it kind of works, I get pumped. Also the Hell March sountrack from Command and Conquer, Red Alert is amazing.
