ROBOcaster Posted December 19, 2016 Author Share Posted December 19, 2016 They are former Iron hands, a boarding assault company who specialized in void combat, during the DSM their Retribution-class Battleship was destroyed however many of them were able to board and successfully capture a Sons Of Horus Strike Cruiser, hearing of the death of Ferrus Manus over Vox Chatter and seeing the remainder of the Iron Hand fleet either destroyed or leaving orbit they thought themselves alone and jumped to safety. They believe the only true master of the universe is death, no mortal man can escape his grasp. To remind themselves of their mortality they wear a white line on their right shoulder to represent their mortal thread, each one has a begging and each one has an end. They gave up the rigid tactics employed by their former legion for a more flexible battle mind set they utilize the captured vehicles in the armory and the teleportation deck to conduct raids on anyone they encounter, they now zealously follow the words of Ferrus, "Make war and move on, and again, and again, until nothing breathes which stands against us. All else is sophistry and pretty lies." Wubba lubba dub dub! These Blackshields are ace especially the Breachers and Reaver Lord. In bird person they are especially metal. Reaver look excellent too, great job in sorting the slightly awkward pose, inspired to build mine now. Yeah, the best way to describe marauders are as 40k Chaos Space marines. They can be taken in groups from 5 - 20 have the stat line of a Veteran, no one can take Artificer armor, they can all take chain axes and 1 in 4 can take a special/heavy ranged or power weapon. very versatile army unit, but you have to pay for everything they dont even come with bolters you have to buy just about everything for them but barebones they are very cheap. EDIT: actually a Hybrid between 40k's Chaos space marines and Tactical Space marines like No Vexilla but your take a Vox like you can take a teleport homer so its a familiar but unique unit.
