Marines becoming true-scale?

I'm devastated by how badly scaled the SA look.

From my eye, it seems to be that one SA commander more than anything -- at least from that line up.

To be fair they have some serious tread on their boots, if you're talking about the height of the model, and they are technically in vacuum/void proof armor which adds to the bulk.

 

Here's a picture that really shows you how much lift the boots give, I actually cut down on some of the boots when removing them from the paint stands but they've got legitimate combat boot style heels and major front tread.

My intentions were to use them alongside Krieg, which are the same scale as Elysians. If they are unnaturally tall to be from the same planet as my Krieg, I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board.

Oh in that case then yeah, I had the Krieg Commissar in my first pic and his legs are so thin compared to even the Cadian troopers legs.  Assuming the rest of the Krieg are in scale with him, SA troops would look like Space Marines next to them unfortunately.
