Death Guard / Wordbearers 3K list

I just finished painting this list (will make a group shot in the near future) for a 30k event in february.  I already played half a test game with it and I like how it performs.  Thoughts are welcome!

TROOPS1: Legion Tactical Squad, Additional close combat weapons, Vexilla, Artificer Armour, Meltabombs

I don't really understand what the benefit is of going DG with zardu? Or how it comes to 3k?

I like to summon a few khorne daemons :)

 

The wordbearers are a small allied contingent although I am thinking of adding more :)
