Bukimimaru
Hey folks. As of 5 minutes ago, I found myself the proud and perplexed owner of the Throne Of Judgment. One of my buddies heard I'd been interested in theupcoming plastic sisters release and dropped one off at my door at 11:45 on Christmas Eve. As I don't yet have a copy of the Sisters codex (I'm assuming it's not mentioned in the Agents of the Imperium codex as I believe it's only got a handful of units in) could anyone give me an idea if it's actually viable to use in a game? As a display piece it's totally awesome, and I can't wait to paint it, but is it usable in game? I know we can't post exact points, but (Going with the assumption that he's a HQ choice) I'm guessing he has the equivalent of Dreadnaught stats? And what's up with the three-barrelled metal gun? Thanks in advance... oh and Merry Christmas. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329115-the-throne-of-judgment/ Share on other sites
Drider
Krazypantzoff and his Toilet of Judgement are in C:IA and codex inquisition both contain identical rules for playing him. C:IA basically contains almost the entirety of sisters and inquisition codeces. If you're playing hyper competitive games he's usually passed over for more effective stuff. If your just playing casual he's ok, just a little over costed (200 points). His stats are that more along the lines of an MC than a dread, T5 W4 2+. The three-barreled melta gun is a master-crafted multi-melta. dracpanzer
The jury is out on whether or not the SoB release will grow into more than just St Celestine and her two Gemini. I for one don't believe it will. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329115-the-throne-of-judgment/#findComment-4602677 Share on other sites
Montford
Merry Christmas to you too Bukimimaru; that was a nice present your friend gave you! For what the Inquisition and Sisters have available, Karamazov isn't bad at all. If you have a habit of failing morale checks, then take Karamazov. If you like orbital strikes then definitely take Karamazov. And yes he is an HQ. Eidt: Oh, and I just noticed who the OP is for this thread :P I'm sure Karamazov will get along great with Maru and co. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329115-the-throne-of-judgment/#findComment-4602717 Share on other sites
CaptainHelion
He also has an every turn Orbital Bombardment that has three varieties, and if you center the blast marker on one of your own models, it doesn't scatter. Actually they do not contain identical rules for him, if you are planning on using him then make sure you use him from Codex: Inquisition, otherwise his orbital strike weapon is only once per game, instead of every turn. IMO at 200 points he should be able to call in an orbital strike every turn. Isolia
The model is really nice if you paint the seat in a less toilety colour than white ;) Joke aside, I think the model is really nice . if you use him indeed codex inquisition is better because an orbital strike once per game is a bit low given his cost. But he's the hereticus maniac that fluffs up the list easily ;) sacrificing one of you own to not scatter is the closest we have to a commissar ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329115-the-throne-of-judgment/#findComment-4602812 Share on other sites
A.T. Yes, they've copy/pasted the old pre-errata rules from the first release of the inquisition ebook rather than the updated ones from more recent releases. It's a bit lazy on their part. Blackarmor_redtruth
It isn't lazy, it is what GW does. So much of their stuff is copy/paste that it is the expected now. I'm glad I have the old Inquisition book... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/329115-the-throne-of-judgment/#findComment-4603019 Share on other sites
