I, the Mad Greek, accept the Boxing Day Challenge and vow to build, paint, and base a Company Champion for the honor of the Bronze Bulls (Blood Angels Sub-Forum) within the 24 hour time limit.

Enjoy your nap, I just woke up sat at my painting area with a wet drooly crotch because I had my mouth open.

Slaanesh is pleased?

Lets not go there lol. I'm too tired to word family friendly innuendos :D

Grey is such a boring colour to paint when you are sleepy.

Guys I'm going to have to bow out, I've been fighting a migraine for most of the night and nothing is helping.  I had to restart on the central chassis as I didn't like how the color scheme was turning out which set me way back, on top of the fact that I was pretty much squinting  from having my OttLite point blank in my face.  Pretty much resulting in my brush strokes going outside the boundaries more than a few times...which is all fun and games until it does so on a 6 layer portion of the tank...which is pretty much half of it. lol

Anyways, here's where it's at now (in all of it's untouched up glory) and while I technically might get more done if I can silence this headache I'm not going to have time to finish.  Oh and yes, the main hull shows you just how horrifying the steps look to reach the final ivory color that is on the grav drives. :)

By my count, you've got 3hrs, if you can get it to a point where you can assembled it, and base it you can still earn two points, even if you don't finish the paint work.

Cheers,

Jono

This is as far as I've gotten, and this is where I'm going to have to stop for the time being. I was hoping for an uninterrupted day, but a couple more pressing issues and a couple things that I'd rather do than paint models came up, so this is what I managed to do.

I know I still have time left, but I'm going to call it here for my participation. The important thing is that I made progress, and I intend on finishing the Stormtalon in the next couple weeks (and I'll share hopefully better photos of the finished product over in the Ultramarines sub-forum). Thanks, and I hope the rest of you have more success than I did!

Ah... I failed to complete the challenge. An injured hand quite hampered my painting attempts (i.e hand still not healed properly since earlier this year...it seems).. I did progress somewhat though, the bases are as finished as they can be before the mini is fully painted and I did put SOME paint to mini at least!

Edit:

I'll make sure to upload photos of these once they're done. This set-back won't hinder me for long!

Aaaand I'm done. Ran out of black paint and ink so I cant paint the base edge or tidy up some wonky lines but I aint gonna loose any sleep over it, I got two more wolf guard done for Varg Bloodeagles great company *yay woo*. Gotta go to my mates so I'll upload the finished pik when I get there, should have been there 5 hours ago to help move furniture but I blew it off to play 'sad grown men and women panting toy soldiers' with my cyber family.

Well done to those who finished, bad luck to those who didnt, but you took part and that what matters. :tu:

Gutted I couldnt finish them off properly, but for once I enjoyed myself (I seriously dislike painting, Never enjoyed it). No doubt I'll be knocking out more Wolves next boxing day if I have any left after the ETL (yes I'm not batting for team Chaos this year, my brothers in the Aett need me).

Well, won't be finishing, I don't think. Bit off a bit more than I could chew, and my paints are refusing to dry so I can't layer properly. Eugh.

For posterity's sake, here's a photo of the model after build, before paint. (Can't bring myself to show you guys what he looks like right now.)
