Has anyone mixed the BaC marines with 40k chaos?

I am thinking about buying the BaC box for all the awesome marines in the set and mixing them with 40k bits to build a CSM army. I was wondering how the bits fit with current chaos marines?

Also wondering aesthetically how they would look mixed with CSMs since they don't have they ornate armor?

Any suggestions or pics?

This is my approach more or less, I also add in loyalist bits too to represent a "recently" renegade chapter. Here's (almost) my first squad I completed today:

There's a lot more (and better) pictures in my CSM WIP, where I also add some FW 30k bits. As you can see thanks to how Marines work the bits go well together so you can mix and match to create the look you want :) Unfortunately this does show the age of the kit in comparison but it is manageable, again depends on the ratio you're looking for. The BoP box is also good for the same reasons, though it depends on the aesthetics you're after as to if you'd like to add it to your BaC stash.

In short: yes, get the box! It's a great deal full of nice Marines :D

What sort of mix are you thinking of? I found that much of how a Marine looks is down to the helmet and backpack as these are the bits that stand out more as a particular appearance, so that might influence your picks.

I really like MkIV so it's the main part of most of my CSM, in particular the helmets as mentioned giving them a strong theme :)

Mainly I like my CSM to be holding the chain sword and bolter/bolt pistol and I wasn't sure if the current 40k chaos arms would look out of place. That's a good point about the helmet. I could just go with the current chaos helmet too.

My Alpha Legion force is underwork with components from Betrayal at Calth, 40k Chaos kits, Forgeworld resins and random bits from multiple other 40k plastic kits as well. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/328728-hydra-dominatus-start-of-a-40k-alpha-legion-force/

I think the BaC plastics work wonderfully when you want a slightly less spiky chaotic force. A mix of different armor types gives a nize haphazard look that works for a force that supposedly scrounges a lot of their equipment from fallen enemies etc.
