This is a log of my Black Legion Warband <Gathering Storm> dating back from 2010 when I first started the hobby. I've always enjoyed the narrative and being the only Chaos player in a hobby group of Imperial scum, my army tends to end up as the villian(albeit a rather weak one due to the codex being garbage over the past years). Hopefully with the new traitor legions out, my chaos army can finally take their place as the prime evil in the galaxy. Without further adieu, here is some shots of my early and horrendous painting attempts at creating a decent looking Black Legion army. Anyone knows where is a good place to upload images? The Venerable Dreadnought receives his last lesson on why the Chosen of Horus were considered the deadliest of the emperor's angels. A valiant but futile last stand by the Brother Captain and his last surviving battle brother shortly before their gory demise at the hands of the vengeful Terminator elite. Bolter rounds and power sword thrusts bounce off the ancient Cataphractii warplate as Brother Vlakath pulps the defiant captain with 2 power fist blows while the tactical marine was felled by a single, well placed blow. The Chosen squad led by the champion Tarkus the Mad had served the foul chaos lord for many millennia, eventually finding permanent service in the warband of the Gathering Storm. With a various assortment of lovingly maintained wargear, they serve as his honour guard across the battlefields of the 41st millennia. The raptors of Squad Vidar are ruthless and avaricious even for their kind. With a predilection for drawing out the suffering of their prey, they are the premier terror troops of the warband when Melkhor the Sly takes to the field. Melkhor secretly plots for ever greater power and prestige within the diverse warband. With the support of his warriors, he eventually hopes to ascend to daemonhood one day and lead his own Black Crusade against the hated imperium of Mankind.
