It's been awhile

But I don't think I've put a picture of my Sisters up on here.

That's pretty much all of them bar the two metal St. Celestines (1 semi-painted, 1 still in packet ). The two squad boxes were actually a recent purchase that I found on a shelf at a FLGS. I think I've all the back packs and there's a fair bit of painting left to do - not been in a painting mood for awhile. The second Repressor dozer blade is hopefully hiding in a parts box.

Nice lot of Seraphim you have there. Dont know if it helps, but I try to get in 15 minutes of painting minimum per day. Doesn't eat up to much time but it does amount to some progress. So even when I am not in the mood to paint I still can see some momentum, which tends to get me motivated to paint again.

Ayep, I've got 26 of them (and all the backpacks), five with hand flamers and four Seraphim Superiors, the only one I don't have is the mail-order Seraphim Superior, but her loadouts the same as the helmeted Seraphim Superior, so I'm not exactly fussed.  The unpainted squad's Seraphim Superiors' powersword broke off during their journey from their ebay seller to me -dang GSP- and I'm still deciding wether or not to glue it back on or to swap it for another melee weapon. Though as that Seraphim Superior mini came back as made to order, I of cause ordered one.

The lack of painting is down to work taking up most of my creative energy I come home & just veg out, be it watch cable or browse the net. The only thing I've painted recently with more than three colours is a Reaper Bones mini I did during PAX at the paint & take table.

I suppose it's a decent start, though I can never come up with a decent army lists with what I've got. I don't know of too many other SoB players in my region, I'm aware of two and a staffer at a FLGS told me they've seen someone with a 10000 point SoB army.

Also I got into a minor painting mood and started applying primer to some of the unpainted Seraphim I got via ebay. Pretty much all of my Sisters are a painting experiment, there's some primed in the old GW white spray paint, the black brush on primer, Caliban green spray, Vallejo primer in white, desert tan & black. I've found that if I've used Vallejo primer on metal, that it's best to let it sit for at least 24 hrs and to not thin it. I added way too much water in one priming session and had it peeling off when I was applying the basecoat.

Well, I got bored the other day and decided to assemble a project that was sitting on the bench for awhile. A wip customised Imperial Bastion which then got filled with all my Seraphim & Celestine.

I suspect in the near future I'll be more in assembly mode than in painting, as I've got plastic Celestine, an Exorcist and two more Immolator/Rhinos to build. The new release Immolator's clear dome is certainly resin & I wouldn't mind having at least six more domes to truly dual purpose my Immolator/Rhinos.
