evilmittens
I've not looked (I can't bear to, because I wrote it) but I think the Ulrik hiccup is the result of two drafts mashed together. I know it's only a few lines, but it bugs me to almost superhuman levels. Many apple-ogies. I'm reading the first Sharpe novels right now, and there are a few similar inconsistencies in those that make me want to patiently regrow my hair to tear it all out. Almost all the Sharpes books are fantastic, but the earlier ones so suffer timeline issues that Cornwell later fixed. He is almost as good of a writer as you. You haven't read them before? Or is that a re-read and exploring the investigation. HeritorA
'Antiheros per se but still, we're loving them.' - in my humble opinion antiheroes are much easier to write. Try to write an interesting Imperial character - who is not an Inquisitor (too much of that already from Abnett and incoming from French and Wraight). I think Bowden had much harder time writing Helbrecht than First claw or Abaddon or Khayon or Argel Tal.
