I've recently been building custom bases using what I believe is the same process you used for the base on the dread. How did you paint that nice granite/marble affect on the tiles? Your use of silver, red and the checker pattern is perfect to make the models pop - and to really highlight your great used of black highlighting. I was dumb and impetuous as I painted my marines in regular black rather than the off black the rest of my army is and it drives me up a wall :P so I really like how the scheme turned out...did you get transfers to do the checks?
